Considering Some Semi-weekly World Quests Becoming Daily

you can grind hunts for rep

Bless. World Quests were one of the main reasons I got so burned out on WoW. Always trying to keep ‘on top’ of them. It was a chase you could never obtain in a healthy manner.

People who want to do WQs daily can have an alt and rotate which day they do WQs… omg.

No, I just did my forth one and it didn’t give jack.

That’s called a self-imposed obligation. No one is forcing you into this, as it’s a choice.

No one is forcing me to pay for the game & sub so I quit. But if you ARE paying you ARE obligated to min/max your time and gameplay. If you’re paying to go to Disney world you’re going to min/Max your time there by doing as much as you can and min/max the price of your admission ticket. If you pay to get in and then sit and eat cotton candy all day you’re not doing it “wrong” but you’re wasting your money. Same with wow. You can call it “self imposed” obligation which is certainly true but it’s a money-time min/max mostly. If the game was free I’d chill and fish/cook/collect/etc.

Forgive format, on mobile

Instead of tying World Quests to rep, why can’t they just be part of their own system for a progression path for casual players who don’t like to group? And of course it would be lower ilvl than you can get in dungeons and raids but still be it where the person can slowly feel like they are progressing their character.

Absolutely. Just as long as you can only get endgame progression out of dungeons, raids, and PVP 2 days per week as well.

This is how absurd you sound.

Bad move. There are those of us that like to play every day and do WQs and other content and like doing them daily. I raid run M+s and doing dailies.

There needs to be more alot more WQs if this is going to be the case or renown requirements needs a massive overhaul then.

The solution here is simple, have some weekly world quests that give a lot of rep and a few (1-3) daily world quests per faction that give just a bit of rep per completion. This is a good compromise in my opinion, since it satisfies most people. Having fewer daily world quests is also preferable in this system.

Also, just as a side note, if you’re going to have daily and weekly world quests, please give them some indication of being daily or weekly on the world map.

Good news: I’m an open world player and don’t really care what you think about instanced content :dracthyr_shrug:

Grinding the hunts will give you rep tokens which you can grind out all day long if you have the time.

Yeah its probably something like 30 to 40 hunts per 1 renown at the rate ive been getting them.

Not that im grinding renown or anything. I think im at renown 12 with them.

And yet, here you are?

No, you’re not. There is no literal or figurative gun to your head. It’s a self-imposed obligation. Your subjective reality is not the collective objective reality.

Do you take 30 day trips to Disney World for $15/month? This is an orange-to-apple, strawman type of argument here, so let’s move on, as I’m sure you have something more… concrete?

I see. Thank you

well damn what a wasted communication

all this effort to present a good idea and take it away. what a tease!

So you stealth nerf rep gains on a lot of different things, timegate world quests, even time gate what used to be dailies all for the people who DONT have time for the game because they whined the loudest?

WQ were never mandatory. They were there if you wanted them, but never had to do them and reset daily for another chance tomorrow. Time gating that content has pushed a vast majority of people who do play daily to go play something else because you timed gated content for them. Not sure if that is a wise move at all.

Way to already ruin world quests. And listen to the cry babies who can not log on except once every 3 days. In a week, when the season comes out, it will not even matter to them.

ARE WE SERIOPUSLY NOT CHANGEING THEM SO PEOPLE HAVE 3 DAYS TO LOG IN AND DO THEM?

This is absurd. They’re called “Daily” quests and I have seen them not change all week long and the same ones up just like last week.

The cycle of 12 hours or a full day would have been fine. People would have gotten things they would have needed eventually because there are so many world quests, it’s bound to happen and pop up in rotation. (just make it so that duplicate rewards cannot be active at the same time).

Way to take away content from players…since we have to listen to people wanting to be on the same level as those who play all the time, but do not themselves. Entitled people you need to quit listening too.

They’re not called “Daily” quests, they’re called world quests. Daily quests are available at fishing holes for your convenience.

they are daily quests. Since when they changed them, you could see the timers for less than a day, then they reverted the change back.

No one wants “World Quests” that last all week and you run out of content once you do them, as you’re waiting for “next week”.

They aren’t daily quests. They are world quests. They say world quest when they are moused over. In the past there are certain world quests that spawned weekly, every 3 days, daily, and even every 8 hours. Please get your facts straight before arguing for changes that imho don’t really need to happen.
