Considering Quitting after BG SPLIT

Would also like a blue response on the matter since everyday there’s a new post about it

No one wants to see Blizzard profit from us via transfer $ to solve their blundering.

From what I am understanding is that it was a necessity for them to do this for the servers to work right. You could also just level a new toon to twink on a different server, it does not take that long

So has OP quit yet? Or was it just another empty threat?

Nobody in the history of WoW has ever quit.

The subscriber count has grown continually since 2004 due to Blizzard’s amazing stewardship.

If twink players moved from say US West to US East, they probably won’t have the gold resources to recreate their toons. That would also completely kill levelers in US West from ever getting a pop.

It takes the neanderthals at Blizzard some time to actually push out a rectification. If nothing happens after a couple of weeks… I expect a gradual attrition of players and eventual collapse of this niche community.

well that could be an interesting experience. Just game me an Idea. Twinks and premades go east coast, save west coast for pugs. Would solve both problems at once lol. I do understand your point about gearing the twink. Maybe have to transfer either your twink or a high level to farm for your new twink, or both. In the end your ques would be great with everyone in the same area. Not saying its a perfect idea, but its a good on.

You mean the subscriber count grew continually until Cataclysm came out, right? :volcano:

I actually play untwinked toons in these brackets - just there to farm a bit of rep and have fun. In the 19 bracket, I’d say 50% to 60% of the players are twinks. If you remove them (say, they migrate to US East), I just don’t see US West popping for untwinked toons at all.

Classic, unlike Vanilla, just has less leveling players at this point. Vanilla had a lot of people join throughout its existence, creating a more vibrant leveling world.

East + West combined had good pops for all brackets and games happened around the clock. This change is really bad for the low level brackets, twinks and for people like me wanting to enjoy sub 60 PvP (which is way better than the 60 meta honor farm trash).

I don’t see thst happening. I see a lot of complaints about PvP que times, but I see a lot of people still leveling and running dungeons. Seems like the majority of Classic players are here for the PvE content.

To me this would be a good experiment to see if pugs would join battlegrounds again because there would be no twinks or premades. I know it would never happen, but it would be interesting to see.

Glad I’ve abandoned Classic… as it seems that Blizzard is trying its best to make it even worse than they already made it (with the botched version of AV) and them taking their time with major bugs/exploits with regard to PvP, dungeons, leveling, cheating, etc. Must be trying to get people to play retail ?

Have you even played low level BGs? There are tons of non-twinks queuing, playing, and winning the exact same portion of games as twinks. BGs are an objective oriented team game, not an FFA deathmatch or battle royale.

Also, premades in the lower brackets are incredibly rare. Like, when you even run into a 5 man semi-pre it’s a remarkable occurance.

Ya, I play low level battlegrounds. Mostly at 29. 90% of the time I go against premades as a pug.

Yes, I play level 19 BGs pretty much every day. I’d estimate that 50% to 60% of the players in an average match are twinks.

I understand that BGs are an objective oriented game. I do play untwinked and focus exclusively on flag strategy and realize there is room for players like me to make an impact. It’s not about 1 v 1. It’s a team game where you execute on flag plays. I just don’t think untwinked toons, by themselves, could carry off healthy queues, especially after splitting the player base in half.

Yes, agreed that premades are rare in the low level brackets (at least, the 19 bracket). That’s what makes the games enjoyable… having a chance to compete in a pug vs pug setting.

Still no change, still no response.

Read title and stopped there.

Bye.

Let me help you a little bit,
“Read the title, thought someone cared about my disingenuous opinion, came to post, posted, feel high and mighty for some reason, stopped there”

Better.
