This may not be as much of an issue for some people, but for someone like me, it has broken the game. I have personally spent ridiculous amounts of time and effort farming low level dungeons for BOE BLUES. I have spent this effort in order to create a nice collection of lower level twinks. Lvl 19 warrior, lvl 29 mage, lvl 39 shaman, all very geared, all very fun to play. Infact, I spent more time doing BG as of late on my sub60s than I have raiding or running AV.
Now after the change, the queue times for Sub60s are unbearable. Here is the average change from my experiance across the past two days.
Lvl 19s bracket
Pre Split: <1 min prime time, 30 min max
Post Split: 8-15 min prime time, 45 min max
Lvl 29s bracket
Pre Split: 5 min prime time, 1 hr max
Post split: 10-25 min prime time, 1.5hrs max
Lvl 39s bracket
Presplit: 5-10 min prime time, 1 hour max
Post split: 15-40 min prime time, TWO HOURS MAX
My lvl 39 shaman is absolutely unplayable now except between the hours of 4-8pm server time and still I am waiting 30 minutes for BGs on US Grobb.
This change has done nothing short of RUIN the game for me. I have a GOD DAMN PENDULUM OF DOOM on my sham that I paid 1700 gold for, christ sake I cannot even battleground anymore. I had no idea when making these twinks that blizzard was going to screw me so royally this way, or I would not have ever spent the time or gold to do so. Now I dont know what to do with this game anymore. All because why? People couldnt decide when BATTLEGROUNDS WEEKEND started? Great… just great.
I wouldn’t make such blanket statements about the twinking brackets. Its entirely dependent on bracket, time of day, and which battlegroup it is. For example I believe alliance usually dominates in terms of population on east coast for 29s, while horde has more players west coast. This recent split has separated the two from being able to compete with each other, so outside of a few outlier guilds, one faction tends to decimate the other.
There are pros and cons to everything. I would assume, doing any form of group content, on low pop servers would be more difficult than on a high pop realm. On the flip side, easier to farm mats, on a low pop realm than a high pop realm. Either way, just because a certain realm doesn’t have the population for Server specific BGs, doesn’t mean others are not. You want a low pop realm? You got one!
They don’t listen to just one individual, no. But they will listen to a group of people. It’s OK that you don’t agree with me. And it’s OK if you do. No harm, no foul. But, if you have anything to add that isn’t about me (which IK it’s difficult for some because I’m just so fabulous), feel free to discuss
Yes. Yes, go ahead, get mad and then ignore the queue times I gave you supporting that you’d be happier on Alliance if your big complaint is waiting too long.
I think server only BGs would be much better, personally. Not all servers would have the same queue times or faction (im)balance. Rather than share the same issues across battle groups, we could have realms that have different characteristics, and people could choose to reroll or transfer, if they would prefer a different realm.
