I can’t be the only one.
I prefer to play the game, as is. I don’t use addons. I don’t use discord. I am open to using the implemented voice chat provided through the game itself, wherever necessary.
It seems like, while I believe I’m in the minority, there are a somewhat significant pool of us, that prefer this playstyle. Otherwise, why have in-game voice, and nullify addons progressively as the game develops. It does seem as though blizzard at least in part, wants to move away from the complications of add-ons, etc, and provide a whole game for enjoyment.
Largely I feel they’ve delivered on this aim, wittingly or not. Even the classic game, doesn’t require add-ons so much. I feel, a dedicated group could clear retail without too much trouble; without using addons, and utilizing in game voice. Side note: I’m interested in building a community that approaches things this way.
There’s also, the upcoming expansion for retail. While I’m mainly enjoying SoD and holding off on Warthin for a bit, until I’m sure I want it. There are some things I am hoping it brings about, which I don’t expect, but hope to a degree continues as the trend seems to be suggesting it might; options!
I want to be able to level mainly through gathering, and working on professions, doing BGs, and dungeoning. Questing, can be okay, sometimes, for me. But, the trend of “finish the story first.” Is something I hope isn’t continued. I expect it will be as Dragonflight was. You need to do it once, then you can skip it. I guess, that’s okay. I just, want avenues, for all playstyles. Especially my own; such as the aforementioned.
Anywhatz. This was my rant.
