Consensus on the nerf?

You’ll have to ignore them. They’re a butt-hurt warrior who’s been making up numbers in multiple threads yelling for nerfs.

Yeah man I can totally self-generate numbers and hit myself with them in said screenshots

Especially overkill myself with them!

and also make up raw data like 62% win rates for Rets atm and the first to die somehow dropping from 60% to 25%

I am all powerful.

IDk dawg, like, is this -really- ya’lls line of thinking? That players out there get some sado-masochistic fap-on for ruining specs or something?

Is that really how schizo people are now?

I just don’t want to be hit for 300k holy/holystrike damage anymore in an instant Global.

And apparently hundreds of players don’t either up and down these posts.

People really do hate Ret paladins. There is absolutely a history of a significant portion of the community experiencing schadenfreude when Rets get nerfed.

People are already unsatisfied that the nerfs didn’t make Rets trash tier and are demanding more nerfs, how pathetic…

IMO, a bit overnerf on the tankiness/healing. JV, Crusader, Fading Light, and Judgment of Light didn’t ALL need to be nerfed. The damage ones seem fine, though (surprisingly). Oh, and why further gut the PvP talents, wtf? Now those are completely useless, lol.

You’ll be surprised how instant Flash heal 50k and WoG can keep you.

The Flash heal is more throughput than just ignore pain.

Look what adding IG did for Arms in a heartbeat.

I think that’s from fact that Rets had a huge uneven amount of deaths in PvE despite having Bubble and WoG and LoH and other specs just laughed it out.

Heard that recently, had no idea. I just PvP.

Icy Veins even apparently saying community has bad perception of Rets.

I mained pally TBC to Cata and they were disgusting in Wrath, maybe people hate them since.

We have been hated since the games conception.

Maybe that hate has been smothered in times past, but it never truly died.

I started hating Ret in SL when I saw hp spike to full thru my sharpen blade with WoG in open world and got divine Tolled for 27k of my 33k hp in a 2’s match Season 1.

Same response then “It’s just chance bro!”

I went warrior just last xpac after decade+ of pally/shammy.

It all really started with Kalgan, Tigole and Furor. Hybrids never really had a chance with those three in charge.

Blizzard has had ample opportunity to correct the basic problems. Some have been fixed, but others remain.

Stuff doesn’t go anywhere without raw data sadly and that’s what I threw in people’s faces.

Tonight just showed me how WoW players are like there’s this supposed massive psy-op war out to get devs to bring down classes they play just so people can remain high. You’d think after telling people that I main fury a million times that IGDAF high rating, just barely hit Rival 2 before pooting out of it from Arms superiority.

Fury is wwwaaayyy worse than Ret is climbing wise atm and I can promise it will remain behind Ret after these first nerfs.

In other news I love templar strikes and the rotations feel great now. I’d still want to main Ret next season if I can gear it just because open world/roflpvp/casual pvp that old feeling again of rushing up people’s HP and support. Hybrids heal for piss now and Ret can do something about people close to death now with low cd LoH and empowered WoG.

After playing some tonight, ret still feels really good.

I’d say they did exactly what they needed to with these nerfs. People who are saying it’s too much I think got carried heavily by how crazy it was these last few days, no offense. It is still very good, there’s a few builds people are trying out. I tried out a few tonight but overall, it feels good. The nerfs took us down from broken to S/A tier.

Our survivability is still very good via sov/dp and instant flash, our utility is some of the best in the game (bop/sanc/spellwarding), our damage is still good. Only weak thing is mobility but we have options to work around that. They nerfed what they were supposed to, they toned down the one shots/burst, but again damage is still high.

the man children litter cried about a class so damn hard they nurfed it in two days smh yet there are other classes STILL better that are ignored simply because they are FOTM favorites what a fing joke this community is just plain toxic

The hatred does not surprise me at all. Still, it doesn’t sound so bad from what I’ve been told.

You don’t have a clue. Not a single clue. I’m not sure explaining anything is worth it but I will try.

Ret was extremely broken. They took ret from broken to very good tonight. It is still extremely good and strong in many aspects, almost all of them actually.

They also nerfed other overpowered classes btw. Lock and hunter both got nerfs too, but they’ll be in on Tuesday. Small nerfs mind you, but ours ended up being pretty small too as we still do very good damage we just can’t one shot anymore which is good.

Just typical of this game.

Ret still feels more than fine.

There is no expectation that Retribution will have the tuning to accomplish anything in PVP. Right now, the best retribution players in the world are losing rating every time they log in. This was not just a nerf, it was a ban from pvp. Seemingly a punishment for being an ok spec for 3 days. If it is discovered how to once again do damage, it wont matter because there is no current way to live long enough to do anything. If you want to enjoy pvp right now, try Warlock, Mage, Shaman, Feral, Demon Hunter, or Warrior.
