RATED PVP - Weapons of Conquest Quest

The Weapons of Conquest quest reward is not my bis. Blizzard, can we think about adding all the 2h options for a reward, for example, for ret paladins? The ret Paladin has no option and the only reward is a 2h mace, which top end is much lower than that of the axe and the mace’s secondary stats are subpar for rets. The 2h axe is an all around better choice than the 2h mace and while the rewarded mace may suffice for the time being, in the end everyone will eventually buy the axe. So if this was…

This thread lays it out in more detail but essentially the quest rewards for the Conquest weapon quest is showing rewards for the wrong specs.

Please make it so once you’ve completed the quest you can get weapons from the vendor. Allows people to choose their preferred stats/weapon combo and doesn’t punish people for playing multiple specs. Just make it so you can’t vendor the weapons.

Yes, preferably, it would be nice if completing the quest allowed purchase of any/all weapons for your class (and not just your spec). The items purchased this way should probably be un-sellable to avoid gold-making exploits.

The issue is especially important for classes that have multiple roles, e.g. dps and healer. I, for one, plan on playing Windwalker Monk (dps) mostly, but would love to try Mistweaver Monk (healer) in rated battleground blitz, but would prefer to not be at a pretty significant gear disadvantage (not just secondary stats, but primary stats) for most of the season as healer.

For Bliz: there’s also discussion about this being a suboptimal weapon choice for most players. The issue is that weapons purchased via conquest (vice crafted) cannot be embellished, and right now it seems like the best embellishments for PVPers are on the weapon.

It would be nice to find a solution to this, for example having tokens that are redeemable for either conquest weapons or as an ingredient for crafted weapons, come week 3.
