Why can’t the losing side get a few points? Conquest points are hard enough to get. With the losing team getting zero. People that have maxed out their Honor gear and want Conquest gear are leaving the battle as soon as they see a loss coming. Or make the penalty more harsh than a 15 minute ban.

do what blizzard wants you to, pay gold to some 2400+ for 2s and get conq that way. its the only way for you to get geared with conq because theres no way this late into the season you will be able to do anything against a 2s or 3s team with full gear. trust me, just buy it, blizzard doesnt care and the pvp cartel is just gonna downvote you

You get scraps of honor for losing, you get the conquest for winning. Cant get a trophy for everything
This is just simply not a good mentality to have. Destiny 2 has the same issue in one of it’s “pinnacle” game modes (trials of osiris) if you’re interested in looking up what I’m talking about and the entire community after a long time has finally come to the consensus that giving rewards regardless of win/loss criteria is good for the entire community.
Awarding conquest for losses would provide incentive for more people to queue up. It’s healthy for the activity when there’s a larger playerbase partaking in it.
Edit: additionally there is actually no harm that would come from awarding conquest to the losing team. It’s not like they can upgrade gear until they get a higher rating. It simply smooths out the grind and encourages participation.

Fastest way to reliably gear. 10-30 conquest for losing depending on how close the game was, 50 for a win. Games took like 5-12 minutes. It would be so great to have those back.

You get conquest for losing rated battlegrounds. I don’t think you should get it for losing randoms though.
Why not just increase the reward for winning? You used to have to get 10 wins to cap now you need many more for the weekly conquest cap.

The difference here is, I woulndt expect one. Others would.
I’m not asking for a trophy. Just a little incentive to stay in the fight. As it stands now, I just bug out of a losing match. No reason to stay. That puts extra burden on those that still need the honor. Sorry about that. If it gave just a few points would be good enough. Even half what a win would give. You still get honor for a loss. With your way of thinking the losing team shouldn’t even get any honor points.

I’m totally on your side man. Gearing shouldn’t be as time consuming as it is right now.
They don’t want you AFKing for free gear…is what I would of said if they weren’t making millions by selling boosts through the token system.

Conquest is easy to get. It’s called doing rated content.
i think the big issue with this is youll get more people who just join a bg and afk until the games over so they can collect their points.
it will also make people quit easier. like “oh no we lost the first team fight, might as well just afk and collect my loser points”

i think if they just simply pumped up conquest points earned and brought back wpvp quests that give conquest (like in bfa) it would be so much better
The way they are doing it now encourages people to just leave in the middle of the fight. So which is worse? (rhetorical) No matter what the rules are, you have a certain segment of the population that will make it their mission to cheat. As far as the afk’ers. Does the voting out process still work? (legitimate question) I haven’t tried it since I came back. I do remember back before I stopped playing people would spam out (so and so is a bot). I don’t see that anymore.
This is the only thing that makes sense. I’ve been back and grinding a bit, at 25 cp per win in the 2v2 bracket it seems like I need around 30 wins just to get the remaining cp I need for my weapon.
Overall if they doubled all conquest earned from every place except RBG’s we’d be in a much better place.
