Conquest Cap - Really

The Conquest Cap is so annoying, I have reached the cap on my toon for this week already. Now it’s not worth playing it.

Intern forgot PvP was still in the game. Cut him some slack, probably an unpaid internship.

Bruh just play because it’s fun :dracthyr_shrug:

(But yes, Conquest should be uncapped and boxes should be implemented)

That’s a lot of Crafted/Mythic gear o_O

I have the 4 set, and I am now working on the rest of my conquest, I guess I could do World PVP this week.

Epic WPVP gear is a great supplement to Conquest.

Between free Crafted Tokens, Hellbloom, and whatever Conquest you can earn right now, your character should be fully or almost fully purple

It’s easy to gear one toon if you play casually (emphasis on casually). It gets harder as you add more toons to gear.

Do you still PvP after your toon is fully conquest geared?

I do, yes. I also play my alts.

Either way, the conquest cap is unfun for me. Timegates are notoriously not fun to me & deter me from participating.

i agree. people stop when they cap out. just wait for the new week to arrive then come back to do again.

If you only play to Cap then what’s the point of the cap?

Until people are conquest geared, and crafting geared using items bought with conquest to raise pvp item level, the main reward for playing is gear. If you’ve seen the ladder you’d know most wow pvp players dont come close to 2000 rating, and very few people on earth have 2800+ right now. You want the gear, for the next goal of earning gear to be easier.

4 times Blizzard saw pvp participation was down and came up with fixes recently, they added brawls, comp stomp, solo shuffle, then sole queue blitz, because even non-rated pvp is dying. When rated solo blitz is live that will be my jam, but lots of folks are not playing anymore. Could be large sweeping buffs and nerfs changing the dynamic between specs often, could be the MMR and CR earning issues this expantion, maybe the long queues for some people, may be the solo shuffle players leaving early wasting your time. Its likely many combined issues.

Just had to be doing it since season launch to use the vault too, otherwise the person would still be behind what is the possible max pvp item level. Thankfully for those people the same solo queue BG blitz that has great participation quest rewards also gives generous conquest points if you win and some rewards if the match is close. And also good for alt or new player gearing, blitz gives a item lev boost to lower geared folks to make matches more fair to them.

Who cares. I started my rogue last week and I’m 486 ilvl. Some people are 489, The 3 ilvl difference really doesn’t matter, it’s 3% power

If the whole reason you play this game is to fill a conquest bar and you feel completely unmotivated to continue playing after this is done then you don’t enjoy pvp. You fill that bar so you can get gear and be competitive in the content you want to enjoy, if you don’t enjoy the content then why even bother gearing there lol

Maybe. I will tell you, I enjoyed PVP whole lot more when my spec was tuned the way I wanted. I think a lot of folks off of the meta train are playing the specs they want to play, but not a whole lot because they’re actually just waiting for some tuning.

Oh ok, so we’re not staying on topic anymore and we’re just going to bounce around from complaint to complaint

My response was a relevant responce to your assumption. You said I don’t like pvp if I dont play much past conquest cap for the week, even though pvp is just about all I do currently. Was your statement about specificly me more relevant to the OPs topic at hand?

Playing to Gear
vs
Gearing to Play

I didn’t specifically mean you not enjoying pvp if you don’t play passed cap, but more people in general - i have no idea about you to be honest. I’m not sure where the “i liked the game a whole lot more when the spec was tuned the way i wanted it”, tuning topic and meta classes came in though
