Im 1 or 2 dungeons away from 2k and im close to 400 ilvl. The reason is because im still getting BIS pieces so not throwing valor at random stuff, and heroic loot has been bad rolls for me. Also why would I want 2400 IO? I only go for KSM and done.
Itâs about timeeee
Dungeons are part of WoW, even before raids ever were. If you donât like it, play something else. Iâd bet thereâs a vastly larger group of players that prefer semi-dynamic, small-group, scaling, repeatable content over slogging through the same exact raid bosses every week, getting held back by those few people that canât carry their own weight but win all their need rolls.
Whats your solution here besides moaning? Make m+, the lifeblood of the entire game right now, less rewarding? Or perhaps give out more loot to a static difficulty 3-10-minute raid boss piĂąata?
Itâs like my kid whining to have a cookie. Then, in his ignorance, sneaks a bunch more because they taste so good. Then heâs vomiting up the garbage and sick of em. Blizzard is trying to balance out bad human behaviors.
They add repeatable progression to the game, like with artifact power, and people grind it 24/7 until their RL health tanks. So Blizz removes it, puts limits on peopleâpart for financial reasons and part for the playersâ healthâand the players cry foul, like my kid wanting 20 cookies. Itâs frankily irresponsible and pathetic, yet people just canât predict what their behavior will be given certain circumstances as well as Blizzard can sometimes.
Read the thread next time and find out.
Priceless lmao
I was thinking of doing m+ again, but then realized:
-
Iâm still bitter about professions being ruined by a timegated meaningful choice system that ainât worth bothering with. I donât want to be in the same zone as it or be reminded âknowledge pointsâ exist.
-
That there is no rollover for doing more âthan the 8â or catch up for the vault itself if you missed a week.
-
Drakthyr have no tank spec. I am not willing to play a dungeon anymore as a healer or DPS. PUGs are nonviable unless you play the tank itself it seems.
-
That tier-sets even exist as something for m+. Since Iâm being punished for not wanting to zone into DF due to point 1, apparently Iâm being left behind by not doing catalyst charge weekly quests. Apparently no rollover on that either unless you do its weekly quest.
Just stop with the weekly login reward systems and FOMOâing for missing out on weeks because weâre burned from your systems. Some of us play in bursts and are heavily penalized for it, which makes getting back into it zero chance. I have zero interest in playing the timegate game, nor interacting with mandatory stuff to proc the MAU boosting login rewards garbage.
I just want to grind, not play the timegate or be punished for not wanting to interact with weekly login reward garbage.
PS: I havenât had a vault in almost 2 months now. Zero interest in weekly login rewards that make gearing unspecial, nor the timegates surrounding such.
OH NO!
Now everyone who said the game would be destroyed if Valor was uncapped will be proven wrong⌠again⌠just like last time⌠and the time before thatâŚ
Itâs really the weekly login reward systems and timegate nagging that do the game in. Letting people grind was never unhealthy. Itâs just someone being scared of MAU metrics showing true play time rather than obfuscating it with login reward only logins.
Right now thereâs no feeling to the gearing process. Itâs just a timegate game. Doesnât feel like you earned anything. Itâll take more than uncapping valor to reverse such.
Iâm not even sure why you would even play WoW since it doesnât seem like a game you enjoy.
Neither classic or retail would let you grind all day for power. Uncapped valor is the closest that type of unchecked gear grind has ever gotten.
I donât think WoW has ever been the game you want it to be.
Hes not wrong at all so dont start.
As someone who started DF late, I already felt way behind others. I was HAPPY to see they had gated again, especially for pvp. Its bad enough when you start out in the greens and blues. Just imagine how bad off people had been if within the first two weeks players were fully kit out in full Crimson gear. The incoming players wouldve been demolished even worse than they already were.
As it is with Mythics theres already players at 2500+ and who have 400+ kit and the games only been out a couple months.
There is a point to capping early in a season and I welcome it.
Those players dont pay any less either.
I didnt really start DF until January due to having a life and other concerns.
Getting into PvP at that point already felt preeeetty bad at the getgo. Getting rolled by high ilvl groups. And forget arenas until you start getting some purple.
PvE wise ive been doing as many mythics as I can on two toons and both are getting close to 1200 nowâŚbut almost anyone in my guild whos been playing since launch is way higher.
So yesâŚI already feel way behind. So I totally appreciate as a paying customer that Blizzard has the common sense to try and even the field a little bit so the game doesnt just run away.
Youre elite players are always going to be better off with mythic gear.
Tbh I wish theyd go back to just normals and heroics. The gear blowout is always so huge in these modern xpacs. They did a stat squish then very next xpac the gear has hundreds more stats on it. The difference between ilvl 415 and ilvl 379 is staggeringâŚstaggering.
Better balance would be achieved getting rid of those highest tiers altogether but then youll rage the Esports kiddies
Except that they were right about the obvious consequences every time⌠and when they are right again⌠youâll just pretend they werenât⌠or youâll just be completely oblivious to the fact that they were right again because you donât raid.
Itâs the âlifeblood of the entire game right nowâ BECAUSE ITâS EASY, ACCESSIBLE, DISPROPORTIONALLY REWARDING, AND INFINITELY REPEATABLE.
The solution is to offer similar things for other game modes⌠as has been suggested a billion times over, but people like you just pretend people are complaining without offering solutions.
This is not a great solution though, because the ability to infinitely farm raids would just mean people repeat bosses over and over, leading to the same outcome of raids becoming irrelevant super quick. No one would reclear for gear if they already maxed out drops in a week. So yeah⌠sorry⌠m+ gearing needs a nerf.
Even with the obvious disparity between m+ and other game modes WITHOUT removing the cap, thereâs still complete dolts every day whining that the game caters too much to raiding.
Everyone should just take a massive step back and ask themselves why mythic plus even exists.
It was the solution to the complaint about nothing available for CASUAL PLAYERS for end game content. People didnât want to commit the time and effort to a raid schedule, so the solution for casual end game was m+.
Still not sure how this helps âreturningâ players. If i bought DF got to max and decided to start working on my io grind, iâd just get hard declined by all the 2k+ ppl farming +2âs for easy valor.
Can we please have Honor be uncapped as well? 15k is too small often, especially when going to convert it into Marks of Honor.
What are those obvious consequences? More people engaging in content they otherwise wouldnât touch?
Are you going to pretend that raiding officially dies on Tuesday? I bet it doesnâtâŚ
Oh, youâre a snarky wanna be elitist.
I made the mistake of taking your comments seriously until I scrolled down and see your just trying to provoke drama.
Imagine, being that thirsty.
bro thereâs no non-sense to what I said.
Raid gear is better so it SHOULD be harder to get.
Mythic+ gear is just friggin stat sticks. Weapons and trinkets are still rare AF.
AND YES it takes 30 minutes of high effort and youâre still not getting the same gear that youâd get for ~5 pull attempts and a clear on most heroic & M Raid bosses.
Regardless, itâs still PvM and it STILL provides upgrades.
The raiders the come and complain about this kinda thing are such cry babies, just GO IN M+, farm for upgrades, and stop complaining that you canât farm one boss 20 times a day for BIS gear. Especially if thatâs THE ONLY FORM OF CONTENT YOU DO.
Great call! Thank you!
Itâs ok Iâve already lost my will to play. This expansion screams âtime gate so we can make moneyâ. Dumpster fire of the most buggy piece of garbage Iâve ever played.
