Maybe don’t assume. Some people are just agitated with how lazily these ‘‘core’’ systems were put in. And it’s the fact that they made it more ‘‘important’’ that kind of is a gut punch because they know it won’t be well received so it acts like a sure-fire plan to keep that content’s engagement up.
It’s simple design 101.
There are many ways to make World Quests better, Dailies better, rep acquisition better.
See, if they were to have fleshed out the systems in Legion, tried to improve upon them, I don’t think there would be AS MUCH issue. It’s just that they slapped it into this expansion.
Tantrums shouldn’t be encouraged or given too much attention. This is hysterical tirade #7448844 about Pathfinder. It’s overdue that people stop doing the equivalent of a child throwing themselves on the floor and crying about it. The alternative was no flying at all.
This parrot talking point needs to go. It wasn’t always cookie cutter before they dumbed down the talent trees. Clever players consistently created sometimes OP, and sometimes game breaking specs that others eventually copied.
Of course, Blizzard, in the name of balance that they can never achieve, nerfed said specs, then destroyed the whole system. Unfortunately, fun was detected with the old trees, and Blizzard went nuclear. Too bad, perfect balance will never be achieved, and it’s an RPG, it doesn’t need to be…oh wait, lol esports!
Its absolutely been improved. That’s the thing.
The reality of this conversation is the opposite to what is being discussed here.
That is why I suggested a break to attempt to reset the outlook on this, because the one currently displayed is unhealthy in terms of its attachment to negativity.
The importance of world content has always been around, and its only become more important over time, so if you do not enjoy its current iteration, its best to take inventory as to why, and ask yourself if you can stomach pushing through it just so you could accomplish other activities.
It seems the OP can not, so not sure why so many people are acting otherwise.
It took me way more than an hour per day, but it did only take me two weeks. My inability to aoe grind was the issue, so I took two days to gather some enhancement gear, and boom - fixed.
Sorry to hear that.
For me, its the only logical thing to say.
I would never tell anyone to do something that is clearly causing them so much frustration.
Its better to take a break now, and reset your position so you can possibly enjoy things down the road.
Otherwise, if you DON’T, you will end up stop playing for good out of resentment.
And it sounds like this person is getting close to that.
What’s wrong with telling someone to take a break? It’s not like he’s forced to do his bidding. If he doesn’t like the core concepts, as uninspired as they are, then taking a break seems pretty reasonable. Telling someone to STOP playing is more akin to toxicity than constructively telling someone that the option is there.
Wow designed 15 years ago is so vastly outdated and different than how wow is designed today the comparison between the two is irrelevant. We’re not playing the wow of 15 years ago…therefore the comparison is irrelevant.
WoD was a bad expansion. The exodus can’t be only tied to a lack of flying, which was eventually reintroduced anyway. We have flying now so where are all the millions of resubs? Are you going to say they aren’t back because they can’t buy flying for a pittance?
From legion? No it hasn’t. WQ and Dailies are basically carbon copies with almost the same type of things to do. They tinkered with small things that if it impacts your excitement in a positive way then sorry to say but you have a low bar for what you find as good game design.
And yeah, at the end of the day, if someone is teetering on negativity that nothing else interests them then they should take a break but I think you chose your words a little poorly that made it seem like the game revolves around 8.2 for EVERYONE and seemingly people can’t complain about aspects of this game but still like other aspects.
Not here to change your mind, just showing how wrong you are. Generally speaking, I’ll probably never convince a flat earther that the planet is round but that doesn’t change the fact that they are wrong.
Define “progression points” because if we are still talking Pathfinder, there is only one way to achieve it.
Won’t argue about someone quitting because this game in it’s current state deserves to lose as many people as possible.
Anecdotal so no one cares.
Define “haven’t changed for years” because Pathfinder in the scope of the games life is pretty darn new.
I mean all this does is show how shallow the game actually is. Once again, it deserves to lose people in it’s current state.
Is it a break or should people quit? Confused on this because you keep changing your position. People quitting might help cause change to the game, taking a break means you are probably just going to come back to the same poor, shallow gameplay.
Did anyone here say World Content should be removed? Pretty sure they are talking about Pathfinder. I know this might be tough for you, but you can actually have meaningful world content without having an arbitrary achievement that is divided by close to a year long time gate.
