I apologize for making yet another post in a short time. I’ve been locked out of my account for more than two weeks, I’m missing on raid lockouts on WoW Classic, and I’m feeling quite confused and frustrated by how the situation is evolving.
My account was recently subject to a permanent ban for “hacking”, which was overturned a week ago after a series of appeals and converted to a 6-month suspension. The confusing part is that the new alleged violation is completely different compared to the ban, now stating that I was reported from other players due to “Disruptive Gameplay”. Moreover, I have never received any email clarifying why the overturn happened or what caused this change of violations.
I’m currently continuing to appeal, as I did for my ban, given that I am also convinced I did not engage in the new alleged conduct.
Could this be a mistake? Is it even possible to have a 6-month suspension for such a violation, without any prior offense? Any input on how to handle the situation would be greatly appreciated.
To be blunt; the thread isn’t needed, if you have an appeal in, that’s all you can do. Nothing we say will have any impact on the appeal team’s logs. In all honestly, this is going to go down as another thread locked as it can and will jump down a rabbit hole of ‘what ifs’ and that isn’t needed here.
With what the forum support agent just said if you want to keep playing you can start a new license on your bnet account and start over or wait the 6months. Best of luck to you.
They will not tell you why or anything else just be glad it is not a perma ban
Thanks for replying, I do really appreciate it! But if this is the case, I would really like to know more details on how my gameplay was disruptive towards others, as that would help me in avoiding reiterating the behaviour in the future. I just don’t understand how I could have hurt the community while playing. Is there any way I can query for such information?
