Confused by the Nemesis achievement

So before I waste a GM’s time, because I’m not sure this is something they can even answer…

I seem to have an issue.

Zekvir’s Raptorial Spine. It’s a transmog that the news article says the following:

My First Nemesis : Defeat Zekvir in his lair before the release of the next season of delves. (Reward: Zekvir’s Raptorial Spine (becomes a low drop chance with Zekvir kill after the end of the season.)

And in game, when looking at the transmog in the collection journal, looks like this:

Both say it’s from the achievement. Everyone I know that’s killed Zekvir has received this transmog.

I have the Nemesis achievement, killed him yesterday, looted the curio, got that achievement, as well… and no transmog piece.

I’ve tried to kill him several times now, including again today after reset, did a cache deletion, a full UI reset, nothing.

I checked Wowhead. It says it’s an actual drop from Zekvir, but not guaranteed. But you can only look Zekvir himself once.

So am I just out of luck? Is it supposed to be from the achievement? Why does it say it’s from the achievement if it’s not?

Also: the news article says it’s from My First Nemesis, which isn’t even an achievement, only Nemesis is an achievement.

Is that something new incoming?

I’m rather lost and confused, a tad frustrated, and don’t actually know what I should be doing to get this transmog and why everyone else I know seems to have it after killing him once.

Is this something I should put a ticket in for? Any insight is appreciated.

I’m thinking I got this on first kill from the chest. It’s not rewarded from the achievement to my knowledge. WoWhead shows it is not a 100% drop, from the loot after kill, doubt a GM would be able to advise either way.

Wowhead has the numbers from Zekvir himself as a 68% droprate, but you can only loot him once across your entire account from testing this out. The chests say a 0.4% droprate. The news article says the achievement, the game says the achievement… so it’s all just a confusing mess to me. :confused:

I looted it off the boss himself, and I saw reports from others not getting it where a re-clear allowed them to pull it off his body. I believe that is the case, despite being labeled as an achievement reward, and the same for the mount.

So I should just keep running it once a day or can I run it multiple times a day?

I don’t think there is a daily lockout, but, it should drop off of him on ? difficulty every time, provided that you don’t have it already. If it isn’t dropping, I wonder if it’s maybe in a bank somehow?

I’ve only run it on two characters. I could only loot Zekvir on Sen here. The curio was there, the transmog was not. I even used a macro that Soul gave me to make sure it didn’t exist. It’s not in my collections nor bags according to addons or a UI reset. And I’ve only been able to loot Zekvir once, the initial time I killed him.

Huh, I see. That definitely sounds like a bug, if you haven’t let it go through a daily reset I’d encourage that but this doesn’t line up with the experience I had or have seen folks have in the bug reports forum. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help

Yeah, it doesn’t line up with everything I’ve heard and seen either. You’ve actually been a great help in talking through it, so I’m grateful. :dracthyr_heart:

I killed him on ? awhile back…just checked and I have the transmog. No idea what would cause you to not have it. Unfortunately I do not remember if it was something I was granted automatically or something I looted. If I get transmog items I just click on them right away and forget about them.

Yeah, same here. It’s honestly the main reason I wanted to kill him. LOL So the first thing I did was look for the transmog in my bags. When I run this script:

It puts the item in chat. And this is the tooltip:

Which, Syndicator would tell me if it was in someone’s bags. And Can I Mog It shows I haven’t learned it.

When I did the full UI reset, it still wasn’t in my collections either. Nor is it in Item Restoration.

I don’t know what the news article and Collections mean in comparison to Wowhead, nor which is actually true.

I guess I just kill him every day and see what happens? I dunno. :confused:

That script command doesn’t work for me, it just generates a lua error. But I looked in my appearances under back, typed in zekvir, and it shows up.

Hmm, odd. It does work for me. But in my collections, it’s under not collected.

Just to get the obvious out of the way, all your collections sources are enabled in your filters, yeah?

Yep. And when searched for, it shows under not collected. When filtered to “not collected,” it shows as not collected.

Probably because the way it was pasted into chat (as a normal quote box) means that Discourse changed all the quote characters to its idea of nice open and close quotes inetead of normal quote characters, and you to can’t do that to the characters in a programming language.

My only thought at this point is that you forgot to loot something. I can’t remember if there is a chest when you defeat him like there is at the end of regular delves.

That said, is it possible the item was vendored accidentally or something? I would think that if it was it would drop again, dunno though.

Everything was looted. I checked a bunch of times before I walked out the door. And nothing was vendored. There wasn’t anything in my bags to vendor. They were clean when I went in.

As I understand, based on my own experiences, you do learn the appearance when you vendor or disenchant things.

I don’t know if some items are exempt, but I used to watch this closely since I send everything to my enchanter and I haven’t had to equip anything in a long time.
