Confirmed: Character Stats are bugged in BGs

7/3 Hotfix: looks like some of this was fixed. Hunter looks okay, but noticed still have broken stats on priest. I suspect other classes are still broken.

People are saying it’s a scaling feature because of 85-89 bracket. While this might be something that is happening, it is currently broken. You can test the same yourself on MOP beta to compare numbers.

85 hunter in Cata prepatch:
Crit rating: 2320 (+12.49%)
Haste rating: 1635 (+12.77%)

85 hunter while in a BG with the same gear:
Crit rating: 143 (+0.30%)
Haste rating: 8 (+0.02%)

90 hunter in MOP Beta:
Crit rating: 2379 (+3.96%)
Haste Rating: 1679 (+3.97%)

What does this mean? If I was a level 90 hunter with my level 85 hunter’s gear, then my crit rating wouldn’t be as low as what it is showing in BGs.

In fact, if we believe the scaling takes us from 85 to 89, then I would expect even better ratios compared to what we see at level 90.

In a BG, my hunter crit rating should be closer to what we see at level 90. +~4% and not +0.30%.

Clearly BG’s are broken, would be nice to get a confirmation of this from Blizzard just for peace of mind or explain to us why stats on gear are acting the way they are.

hunter is a newb class anyways, l2p a real class

Probably the only intelligent post on the entire forum right now about the subject, thanks. Did you actually save your crit and haste in/out of instanced PvP before prepatch so you could compare?

I think the worst part of this is that all my hit and expertise are gone. “scaling” doesnt mean making me miss half of my abilities.

I didn’t check anything before pre-patch. I’m only looking at current/live level 85 character stats in/out instanced PvP and comparing to what we see in the MOP Beta.

As far as I am aware, there wasn’t any PvP scaling in Cata, but I never tried low-level BGs.
