Confirmed by Devs: No flying until late in the expansion

That’s pretty cool if so. It encourages you to go exploring with your new dragon friend

Thankfully, you ,like all of us smart people havent fallen for it!

Agreed. A jaded player base that the game has passed by.

They should all quit and find a hobby better suited to them and their needs.

Rriigghhhhhtttt… because there isn’t past content still to run around in.

Sounds almost exactly like artifact weapons, but it’s a mount instead.

Sooooooooooo the last patch. Did you already forget your question?

Or do you just enjoy being pedantic?

Considering how not at all great jump puzzles in ZM were executed, i’m not going to hold much hope that they will be like GW2, unless they understand what makes that flying in that game great beyond just surface level observation.

They won’t acknowledge that no matter what.
They claim it was that Ion announced memorial day weekend (Around May 22nd to May 25th) there still would be no flying in WoD or future expansions that caused WoW to almost die by people unsubscribing.
But never bring up the fact that the Q1 report from Blizzard that was known about as early as May 7th had already shown they lost 2.9 million subscribers before that infamous interview of Ion they like to point to.

I hope they don’t give flying so people like you won’t play the game.

Ye. It’s gonna be lit.

If flying was in the game day one this content would be relagated to world quests and you’d get some azerite or Garrison resources.

They arent doing it intentionally, taking risks means it wont always be a hit.

Dont make it sound like they just intentionally make a bad expac.

And that was what, the first iteration of the pathfinder achievement?!?

After that we always got Flying at an earlier time…

Luckily we dont have to play the current content to get current equipment and such. It drops in MC now.

Yep. While everybody was still leveling opinion on WoD was high, but after the masses had been cap for a while and ran out of things to do they started unsubbing left and right, as people do in content droughts. WoD just had the very unusual worst case scenario of an early-lifecycle drought.

That’s half this forum on a good day, to be fair.

So, to answer my own question, yes, yes you do enjoy being pedantic. Fair enough. :kissing_heart:

When they do it over and over and over and over (ad infinitum), then yeah, guess what, you start to see a pattern.

Give the crap expansions to the interns/newbie teams to fuss around with, while still providing an “expansion”. They continue to make money, even while making the players angry, but having that constant carrot dangling by providing a non-crap expansions every once in a while that the pro’s have worked on. Pretty feasible, imho.

Can we just stop already, make judgements based on the alpha and beta releases. There is still a ton of things up in the air with this new expansion that we don’t know about. Along with will not know about until later this year when they start testing.

It’s nothing like an artifact weapon, because I don’t think this is an infinite progression system. I think there are a finite amount of glyphs in the world and collecting them all, (Or most hopefully) will fully upgrade your dragon. There are going to be guides that let people do this in like 4 hours and people will still find something to complain about. General Discussion has always been like this. Negative nancies who cry about every thing blizzard does. Blizzard has done a lot of stupid crap, but their “war on flight” is one of the smartest things they have ever done. It’s stupid it has been in the game this long.
