WoW is about as RPG as every other game at this point. Be it a generic shooter or a card game. Everything has ‘RPG’ elements shoved into it. ‘RPG’ no longer has weight as a descriptive acronym.
All I know is for players like me who multispec often, its gonna suck balls. It seriously begs the question, does blizz even play their own game?
Imagine if you put one in the wrong spot? Imagine if it’s epic quality. You have to destroy it and rng your brains out to maybe get another on that might not ever happen. This system is moronic.

Yea it’s defintely a stupid design choice. SL is already quickly approaching the WoD meme territory at this rate. All I know is this is one player who had decent tank off-specs for group content and now guess what? All my tank off-specs just went poof. Congrats on the longer wait time for a tank, guys. SMH.
They should just be points you put in that cost gold to repec, but if they did that how can they make us play? How can they hide the treadmill? Seriously MMO endgames lately are as shallow as a puddle and as rewarding as bowel cancer

It can happen because people aren’t perfect. It’s going to happen someone is going to do it and make a ticket for a GM to tell them tough crap. It’s going to happen, but even more than that making it a item muddies the water if you want to ever be flexible with your choice. What the point of experimenting if it comes at such a risk? You’re not going to. You will go to icyviens or wherever and copy paste what everyone else is doing. It’s bad game design.
They should change it no doubt, but people are going to just go to icy-veins or sim anyway, that’s the game now.
This is an elegant solution.
And that’s sad. And if Blizzard actually paid attention and made all of the bonuses either the same or innocuous to the game this is the outcome. It’s ruined by the meta. And everyone is going to be a lemming and follow it because no one is going to take the guy/girl who does 5% less dps no matter how charming he/she is.
But the same is boring.
Sure the meta sucks, but being FORCED to have no choice because everything is copy paste is no better. Actually, it’s probably worse.

You just have to find a group who doesn’t care about meta.
We CE every mythic without worrying about it, still have to have a proper make up in terms of tanks and heals, but specs and talents don’t matter because you can get CE with anything.
I only dps anyway so this isn’t really a biggie for me but I get others concerns
This seems to be a common theme lately. Lots of players enjoy others suffering due to the new systems being implemented.
