Concerning messages from space

Something fun to do. If there were messages from space and they were creepy, ominous, scary, etc., what would they be? Ill start:

“Experiment Complete. Begin Sanitization Protocol.”

Literally any message from space that isn’t from ourselves would be concerning, IMO. Doesn’t matter if it’s promising help or peace or annihilation, it’s coming from something much, much, much more advanced than we are, which means our continued existence and way of life continues at the whim of whatever entity / civilization it is.

There have been. Crop circles were and still are a thing.
I’m wondering if they’re using the clouds now as the sky’s been strange in the last decade.

Yeah, people should be terrified if aliens started appearing/talking. With our current tech, getting to our closest stellar neighbor, proxima centauri, would take like 6300 years. That’s only the closest star so any sort of civilization would be coming from much further out. The tech needed for that is beyond scary lol.

Odd cloud formations, seeing strange shapes of clouds, ie: square, rectangular, triangle shapes, sharply defined edges, seeing the suns rays on only one side of the sky, the other side is darker but there’s nothing blocking the suns rays, stuff like that.
I thought most of it if not all of it was just photos and video being edited but then I started seeing it with my own eyeballs so now, Idk what it is.

It’s different though. Not like the skies when I was growing up, that’s for sure.

First off, while I fully believe alien life exists, I do not believe any aliens have ever visited this planet. The universe is BIG. No matter how big you think it is, it’s much bigger than that. The odds of two civilizations ever encountering each other are so slim it might as well be 0.

Now that said.

Pretty much, unless the message we find is a “manmade” radio signals from space, similar to the ones we send ourselves, we would probably be looking at a much more advanced civilization than ours, which would not exactly be ideal.

Anyways, first contact would need to be in space anyhow, if they just land on earth they risk introducing microorganisms that could potentially destroy our eco-systems and ourselves, no matter how thorough their sanitization efforts are. (Unless of course, wiping us out for one reason or another is the entirety of the plan).

I think “Hello” would be sufficient to freak me out.
