Its like the point on “Whos line is it anyway” show
Brady ruins every show he sets foot on just sayin.
R.i.p SG1.
I think the point he was trying to make before you started flexing yourself, was that it’s not very important in the grand scheme of things.
Honestly didnt think anyone cared about glad mounts anymore I remember tbc and wrath was semi big deal but honestly who really wants to grind pvp 8+hrs a day every day lol.
The armor sets they basically made generic you can get either post season/expan with tokens or raid equiv so they hardly matter anymore.
We’ll await the day where you are no more part of the CC for such a toxic mindset. Bygone, you do nothing but harm everyone with this mindset.
He said nobody cared, I rebutted that people frequently show they do care.
Not that I pay that much attention tbh, but I’ve never seen a CC member ratio their own self so hard like that one just did. Talk about outing yourself as completely clueless.
I think you confused your flex/ their non existent interest in pursuing glad junk with someone giving you a compliment on your determination.
Like hey nice mount you got there someone had to do it I guess.
You’re assuming a lot because it fits your narrative. You have no idea what people actually say to me.
Your assuming we care you have glad x lol
Yeah, I never said that buddy. You can go back and read my post. I was simply correcting Swarf that nobody cares. Plenty of people have shown they do. I never said or expect anyone on GD to care.
Literally no one cares you have glad x bub you might get a gratz, but are they actively deciding to go for the same next round?
Not likely now stop tryin to humble brag about yourself no one cares and people care even less on forums.
Having a glad mount is about as prestigious as a shop mount on clearance.
Promo event stuff are not a flex.
It just means you logged in, bought a collectors edition, or bought trading cards.
You and your friends know your own adventures and what you beat together.
That should be enough,
Also there was a time in this game I had some of the best gear proving I beast the hardest stuff and it was funny to realize nobody cared.
All that time you sat preening in Ironforge was wasted.
Items that can only be acquired through money bring neither a flex or bring prestige along with them because they are not centered around an actual achievement.
I dont see a problem with spending extra as parts of a promotion if you want the items, but the perception of them providing some sort of flex or prestige is simply inaccurate.
generally how these promotional deals work is you get an exclusive deal for a specific item. I dont remember how the original charger was given out, but generally the promotions go something like buy a year subscription and get XYZ at no extra cost.
In those situations you are getting the mount essentially for free because what you are paying for is the subscription. People who get these items later will have to pay for the items individually, while you would have gotten it for either free or a highly discounted price.
Even if they are made available later, that doesnt change the fact that you got yours for far less than what other people are paying for it now.
You just had to promise to sub for a year. You didn’t even have to pay upfront, just stay subbed for the 12 consecutive months. You also got Diablo 3 for free and entry to MoP beta.
No. It isn’t. Just because that’s why you come on doesn’t mean that’s why everyone else is. I promise you there isn’t a large chunk rubbing their hands together and going “ooohhoho what can I lord over my fellow players in a toxic display, today”
If by devalued you mean items that were limited like Tyrael’s or obtained through the trading cards and could no longer be obtained can now be bought or will appear in the Trading Post, then yes, that’s exactly what’s happening.
Blizzard found a way to make some more cash. That’s what’s happening.
There’s literally nothing prestigious about them. They’re all “I spent X dollars on this!” or “I played the game a fair bit during this time period!”. You know, things literally anyone could do, just can’t because of a meaningless expiration date.
Now, something like the old Gladiator mounts? THAT is prestigious, because you needed to be one of the top rated players to get it. Dropping a lot of money on Tyraels Charger and getting a years sub and Diablo 3 along with it? That is not prestige. That’s just having some money to spend.
