Concern with Mechagnomes

No pants or shoes is deemed acceptable by Blizzard?

Sounds like it’s time for a naga allied race.

Which hopefully they fix that because it looks awful with some of the arm/leg colors

This would go a long way with making them look less wonky. If you wear a shirt/pants combo, you essentially have to wear a tabard. They just look so…wrong…without one.

Mechagnomes are one more reason to ignore retail and play Classic.

Like I said. Makes them unplayable for me. You can always hide your armor if you wanna expose them. Honestly to me they only look good in tabard.

Considering you can ignore mechagnomes. This doesn’t exactly apply. Especially as the reason I dislike them is transmog. Something that doesn’t exist on classic. One of the major reasons I couldn’t get into it even if I wanted to.

My only concern is that they are so awesome they are on another plane of existence

Blizz please. Another update. Did A LOT. Especially for tmog on Vulpera. Now mechagnomes.

Another thing. It takes a run through a mythic raid to get them as allies. No other ally race requires a mythic raid run. The vulpera sure don’t. Why does getting the Mechagnomes require a mythic raid run?

Mythic raid? What???

If you put pants on them, they look like they are wearing a diaper. I just can’t bring myself to make one and it sucks because I was really looking forward to it.

This is EXACTLY my issue. It looks more tolerable with robes, or tabards or dangly waists but still not ideal.

Aren’t robotic arms and legs part of the appeal of playing a cyborg gnome? Why do you need to cover them up?

Because choice, options. I can easily hide gear, or wear skimpy mog if I want to show them. But if I want to hide them I’m not given that option. And because the diapers just look ridiculous. The lack of sleeves is tolerable but the lack of pant-legs just look awkward.

Yeah, not every race is for everybody. If you want to play a Gnome with gloves, the fleshy Gnomes are waiting for you lol

If you want a gnome without gloves click the magical hide gloves option when tmogging? That seems fair to me. One option we all win, one option only one side wins. I don’t know how in any universe both gloves and boots don’t show up AT ALL (Even the leg part of boots do on trolls) and 25% of shirts and 75% of bottoms don’t show up. I can’t come up with good transmog because of how silly they look. I like the idea of mechanical gnomes. I don’t like being forced into a diaper and having my transmog (half the reason I play) being severely limited.

I don’t think it’s doable. In WoW the armor is practically a texture on your body, and since the mechanical limbs have a lot of 3D assets it would look really dumb putting armor textures on those.

Well, we could have an option to “hide” your mechanical limb and “appear” a normal limb with armor on it, it’s doable but you would look exactly as a normal Gnome, so I don’t see this happening.

Also, there is the problem that it really doesn’t make any sense wearing armor on body parts if, you know, said parts are already made of metal plates. But I totally understand you wanting this for tmog purposes.

I think they should make a ton of customization for their limbs, all colors and stuff, so you can match them with your armor.

Mag’har got 3 colors for their heritage armor. Why not give Mechagnomes 3 colors? One rusted, one silver?

Alliance have yet to get an Allied Race with multiple colors of Heritage Armor.

Operation: Mechagon isn’t a mythic raid…

If the undies didn’t look so darn ridiculous I’d have less of an issue with this honestly. If they could make the gear we DO get look sensical it would help.

That would also help but it’d need to be A LOT.

I don’t remember it being obtainable? Only datamined. Same with Lightforged.
