yes, that’s basically the best gaming pc you can build atm.
4090 is better, but nvidia is literally scum, and it’s overpriced. You will be cpu / game engine bottlenecked anyway so it wouldn’t do anything
No.
cpu bottlenecked in wow really?
im on an i7 950 right now and in 25 man raids it is 12 fps its really bad
I have a gtx1080 and 7800x3d. My gpu is 100% utilized until the encounter starts, then my fps drops in half. I do have mid/low graphic settings in raid though. Regardless the 7900xtx is over 3x faster than my old card.
are you paying >$2k just for wotlk ?!
A 950 is REALLLLLLLY old at this point. That would’ve been fantastic 15 years ago, but now it’s just not. Between age and how much more the OS alone is taking up, combined with the client being much expanded upon, it’s no wonder it chugs.
Deselecting the 60fps cap for instances option in the graphics settings should get you what you want.
Though, you probably shouldn’t do that as you will have more stable performance with it selected.
can turn spell effects all the way down, lagg in 25 man can be frustrating
it helps to turn your character look down at the ground, and easier to spot aoe void zones
That PC is maybe 2x what you’d need to run this game at max settings. Doesn’t mean it’s a waste though as you can always get a higher resolution and/or FPS.
