Laptop is on it’s last leg, anyone have a decent priced PC build they’ve used with relatively available parts? Currently gaming on 1 graphics and would like to see the game on 10.
Thing with WoW is that the game is poorly optimized. You could get the best PC available and still have frame rate problems.
I get decent Fps depending on where I’m at. Usually in arena matches it’s smooth, but if I’m in a zone line suramar, my FPS drops quite a bit.
I agree. I got a new computer about 3 years ago and game runs worse on it than it did my old one. Every epic bg is a slideshow and I play on lowest settings. I heard the game is more cpu intensive so graphics cards matter less. Next time I get a pc I’m going to just ask around to see who gets good performance in that tarren mill brawl and copy their specs as closely as possible. If your system can run that brawl fine it can handle anything in wow imo.
While this is true, no matter how poorly optimized the game is, you’re going to get significantly better performance out of, for example, an RTX 2080 than you would from a GTX 680. Optimization isn’t going to fix approximately one decade’s worth of hardware innovations.
Depends on your budget. I have an amazing setup but it’s not affordable for most people.
anywhere around 1k would be a non issue can go over a little

- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
- Intel Core i7 10th Gen 10750H (2.60 GHz)
- 16 GB RAM
- 512 GB SSD

CPU is slowish but you won’t get much better until you budget an extra couple hundred or so. This was just a random google search. In my opinion, look for a cpu that gets you above 3.2 ghz and settle for a smaller gpu. Don’t go below 1080 though.
