Competing against 30+ people for every mob and quest is getting old really quickly

This sentiment has always seemed off to me .

Unless I’m with a friend, I prefer to quest solo. I will part se up with others in-game if I feel like it, or if it’s a group quest.

I do enjoy dungeons with friendly groups (and raids, when I had the time to commit.)

Finding a group just so you can get mob tags isn’t fun. Neither is fighting over mobs or resources.

I’ve reserved my names. If time permits in the near future, I’ll start leveling. Being behind the curve here will make it far more enjoyable.

I play the game to relax. Not to quest with randos.

Because it’s a dead server.

Oh, that’s sad.
I really liked Glinda.
I was wondering why I hadn’t seen any posts lately.

He’d stopped playing for the most part since early SoD. I could tell he wasn’t feeling great, and he never let on. It was a shock to everyone that knew him.

It sucks. He was a good friend, and one hell of a human being.

How do I see the layer I’m on?

I was gonna say, I’m level 13 and Silverpine forest is EMPTY ASF on a saturday. (PvE)

Reading through posts here and on Reddit, a lot of people have tried and gave up by level 5-10, due to the fact its really not any different from past 5 years of Vanilla (SoM/SoD/Era). In essence, its all same thing.

So yeah. loads of people have also quit.
Out of my Cata classic guild, who have all been playing since 2019 launch, only like 4 of us are even leveling in Classic fresh, but none of us would raid in Vanilla. Just waiting for TBC.

Skill issue.

Stop going through your traditional leveling route, everyone is doing that. You want to keep leveling and not wait around, grind mobs and spam dungeons.

If you have some mental block and you just have to do that quest that awards you 14silver then suffer and wait i suppose.

Oh no,

Ignore people #1. Like seriously, pull up your big boy/girl pants and ignore the toxicity.

Just fireblast then

This is part of the enjoyment of a fresh server dhring the first week.
If you dont like the rush, wait a week.

Its no like u are missing anything no raid until 12th, more than 2 weeks

Welcome to new launches when you fail to either get ahead of the pack, or take it easy. I didn’t have PTO for this, so I messed around pretty casually. Didn’t get into the game until 6 hours after launch, and the starting zone was a ghost town.

Yesterday pretty much all the quest-related mobs in every alliance 20-30 zone on dreamscythe was camped by multiple players with no spawns to see.
Thankfully, people still think the best way to level is “rested xp guides” so they all avoid non-quest mobs.

HONESTLY? Not a terrible way of doing it. I love seeing people around but just looping in circles for hours on one quest because every mob is tagged is not fun either.

There is a sweet spot where there are people ahead of and behind you, the server is still new, the economy hasn’t settled, you still have to put in effort but quests are like. Completable.

Not even a week. Just a few days is enough that the starting zones have people in it but all of the tourists have cleared out and you can actually do things.

I wasted my entire weekend leveling on Dreamscythe Alliance from 6-25 and not once had an issue with completing quests that warranted my running to the forums and crying about overcrowding. This included those Defense of the Kings Land trogg kill quests, Defias quest chain (including messenger and escort), etc. Be better. Game is fine.
