Community Survey - TBC Poll - Let's get some answers

60/40 on boosts sounded about right based on these forums - skimming through and counting.

I suspect those that don’t go on the forums or more casual don’t really care about the boost or favour it to come back.

100%

“No-changers” have always been the vocal minority. Most people have always wanted some smaller QoL and balance changes or in the case of Classic, new content in the design of Vanilla:

How? These are progression servers, the botters are already there, and they’re already 60.

Exactly how does a single per account boost help them?

The Horde needs more Troll players.

Trolls are the best race on the Horde.

Ease of creating new 58 bots on new accounts. Infinitely.

New account &1 paid boost over and over again.

accounts get banned? rinse repeat.

Fair enough, I follow you. Personally, I don’t expect that to be a big issue. Perhaps I have to much faith in the technical proficiency of botters.

As with all things, time will tell.

Bots are gonna be awful in TBC but I doubt the boost has much impact. Regardles of the boost, bots will be as rampant in TBC as they were classic. Probably feel it worse due to more contested farming spots.

I guess it comes down to the time for them to boost groups of new bots to 58 versus paying for 4 boosts to 58.

I filled it out the other day. One should also note that this is a voluntary response survey… which is likely to not really show how the general population feels.

But the Undead have the best starting zones of any Horde. Those areas were almost as fun as Duskwood!

The 58 boosts definitely will make the botting situation worse if Blizzard doesn’t do anything. The “ban waves” are not regular enough …

I don’t mind the boost but it definitely feels weird to pay an active subscription and have now a cash shop implemented for a game that doesn’t get development and seems to get little technical support …

If you’re English is excellent then you spent much of your time reading the forums in paroxysms of either laughter or disgust.

Naw, I speak Typonese AND Scramblish.

I have no room to judge, I’m practically monolingual.

Thank you. I’ve been trying to point out stuff like that about surveys for the last year and people constantly argue about it.

The Survey is really well done, blizzard should take notes. thank you for doing it.

Most folks are not familiar with how data collection works, or why random sampling and sample size are important.

:man_shrugging:

I only vote for fresh no boost. Fresh server no boost.

I don’t know if they ever answered but theres a question asking if we plan to continue on classic servers. I almost answered yes. Then I realized you might mean vanilla classic not tbc so I said no. That question should be more descriptive i think. Clarify tbc classic or vanilla classic.

i love the questions do you think horde will be dominate 80% yes, if faction balance was addressed would you change another like 80% no

see no point in even trying just let the alliance have the disadvantage already i didnt see any major game changes when 85% of all the guilds to clear naxx in the first week were all alliance guilds

never saw blizzard step up when alliance were winning AV at a 99% win ratio and yet once horde started to win for a lil bit they actually nerf the horde starting zone and move it further back in TBC

so why help the alliance other than massive favoritism

You are right; I slightly adjusted the questions to make the distinction clearer.

I realize there would have been a couple of questions I would have like to add now but well it is a bit late 400 answers in. But an additional question “which type of servers are you playing on” PvP - PvE etc would have been good.

Anyway; quite a few answers right now its nice

Imagine thinking poll responses equate to good game design. Even OSRS has had to override polls lately because democratic game design is cancer. Players don’t know what’s good for them, never have and never will.
