one of the posts is literally what one guy likes and doesn’t like about m+.
Big disagree. Seems to me they were hard gatekeeping.
Considering the current CC forums already feels very low in engagement both from other players and devs to start any sort of discussion it feels kinda pointless.
Hope they get more invites going and pack that place.
Since you edited your post, which I assume was to remove your channel link (good decision) - I won’t go into what a load of garbage this quote is.
I think most of us are capable of sharing ideas without loading up Twitch.
REally where ? Link it because I see nothing in there about a member of the council advertising any Twitch Stream .
EDit : Had it clarified that the person had edited their original post
Seriously, players want their feedback heard, they want to be able to communicate with the devs and others, preferably via the forums.
We had some good blue posters in the past, but due to the nature of the forums, and how they were dogpiled because they were the “face” of blizzard drove them off.
Blizzard is at fault for their part in the mess we are in, but to say players bear no responsibility is a lie and maybe both sides need to have their heads examined.
All I have seen on the Community council are a lot of longwinded suck-up posts about topic’s I do not at all care about. They only choose people who would kiss rear end and sell them selves. Thats why Blizzard is failing, they seem to have confused “valid opinions” with the word “toxic”.
I believe he edited it out.
I’m curious if he’s still interested in our… great ideas?
Probably not.
Actually from what I have seen in the threads over there ,they are not kissing up to Blizz and actually offering quite a bit of criticism and putting forth some fairly decent ideas .
People need to hop out of their comfort zone called GD and actually go over there and read some of the stuff.
What kind of posts would you care about?
I’m perfectly fine with the ideas… as long as they stay where they were intended.
To be honest maybe there are probably only 2 ways to get Blizz to listen to players .
1: Stop paying for the service
2: When the game is in a testing phase like Beta and PTR no one does it and when they start asking why people aren’t doing the Beta or PTR test we all reply with "Why should we , you don’t listen anyway "
Edited it out only to shill his twitter instead which is the exact same thing. The “community council” is an actual circus.
-
Inserting a practical method of tracking what players do and do not do in dungeons so when a boot occurs it can assign the correct punishments to the right people rather then a standard 30 min’s to some poor guy who may not have done anything.
-
Inserting practical player housing that ensures other players will be in the area to view others creations.
-
Unlocking all available items for transmog use. White/ greys/ old locked out skins. All items should be available on a vender, on an open world spawn or thru archeology.
-
Give rogues a ranged spec to balance what was done with hunters.
-
Balance all classes equally in dps terms and allow us to pick what we want to and what we don’t want to play.
-
Blizzard needs to stop screwing over it’s employee’s and falling into obvious pitfalls because of their own dumb pride. That woman should have started with equal pay because that job was just made!
-
All mythic plus content should be in the senerio style so tanks and healers don’t have the power to pick and choose people like gods anymore. Doing this would be a practical way to end the horror that is group finder.
-
Fix the group finder tool. Give the group sellers their own spot where they HAVE to go too this way the rest of it get’s cleaned.
-
Talk to some fashion experts and add in basic staple pieces that will allow for multiple transmogs to match.
-
Minimize the metallic tones across all armors. Add in the ability to at least do a flat dye.
-
Add back spell/ability power levels, Allow spell/ability customization. I would like to take a AOE spell from a point and click to a cast on target again.
-
The Spell skins was a great idea BTW.
-Add in a lore book that you can grow by finding books across WOW. Allow them to be collectable and add voice recordings to them. Also allow us to buy and listen to the novels using this book.
-Put everything bought in the store in the actual game on a super rare drop. It will shut up the die hards and let the people who want to buy it not have a guilt trip. Juts tag them “wild /stabled” for status.
-Allow the mounts to have special abilities once again, give water walking back. Then place in a flying attachment that will allow non-flying mounts to fly.
-in general quit taking away stuff only to give it back in a worse form.
-Give back the flight whistle!
My robo fingers are tired…I rest now.
It is not always the tanks/healers that are picking people like gods, sometimes it it DPS. I am a tank that more often then not joins keys not my own and it is not uncommon for DPS to decline me or chew me out for doing things differently then what they are used to.
M+ in the group finder is fine on Blizzard’s end, the issue is players use whatever tools they can to pick and choose like gods, for content that does not need these high numbers. The best way to build up M+ is to either run your own keys OR work your way up, if not from scratch (lower M+ rewards tend to be outdone by even world content) then at least from ones for your gear level.
The rest I can agree or at least be indifferent to.
While I don’t personally resonate with everything on this list, there are some things that I would definitely love to see. That said, I’ve shared it with the rest of the council as I’m sure some of your points apply to them.
I know for a fact that player/guild housing has already been brought up in comments multiple times and a post is planned for it.
I’d rather see them gone completely, but this is a good idea if we can’t get rid of them altogether.
I’m in for this. I’ve seen some people talking about warriors wearing cloth and warlocks wearing plate, which I’m not on board with, but white/greys of the right armor type should definitely be moggable.
In a MMO like this, there are going to be classes that excel in different areas, making them strong in some scenarios and not in others. As much as the dream is “perfect balance” I dont think it can exist in WoW without making everyone do the exact same thing which takes away so much class identity.
Agreed. So useful before flying is available.
So I main a outlaw rogue who should be on top with all other aoe dps. And that is NOT ever the case. I’ve randomly have months where I’m on top of the charts and then bam I’m below the tank all using the same play style. It’s utterly maddening.
I have listened to them talk about “someone should always be bad at something” but I don’t think their version of that is like my version of that. Cause they keep sacrificing classes to draw people to other classes.
I feel if it’s the same type of spell or ability on two seperate classes that the power behind that spell should be the same.
Blizzard shot themselves in the foot with covenants all because they always gotta pick and choose who is bad and who is good. Rather then just letting them all be equally damaging and allowing the player to pick WHAT THEY LIKE.
They don’t seem to realize that they have a community built of spreadsheet guru’s that calculate every tweak they do and proceed to ruin char’s for people.
It’s the twisted Monkey paw thinking that ruins them.
BTW thank you for the kind replys to the rest of it. you got my upvote for that.
Will any of them really challenge Blizzard?
Your right it’s not only the tanks and healers. In gerneral I would say it’s the Alpha leadership type of personality. However EVERYTHING is gated behind getting a tank and healer.
LOOK at the group finder as a DPS right now and you will find a bunch of groups that are 3 dps waiting on a tank and a healer.
If mythic plus was in the senerio format you would fill groups almost instantly and everyone would REALLY PLAY rather than sit in the waiting room!
The group finder tool is not like the automated version where I can run around and do stuff while I wait. That tool requires boring babysitting.
Yes but we’ll see what happens when they start addressing the posts. Hopefully something good xd
