Community Council Members - Read

isn't this ancient news? or is this different from the other secret forum?

I think it’s good to raise questions, and we should be transparent. I’m 100% not a Blizzard employee. I’m a full-time nurse who spends my free time on this game. I’m not being paid/compensated by Blizz.

As to your last statement - I’m guessing someone entered the discussion after 36 minutes because they are trying to se what the community is saying regarding mage tower, pvp, etc and are trying to become involved in the community.

Well, that my skepticism ,reason why I’ve seen it played out in here so i question everything. I am in fact surprised by this and it is getting me hopeful.

It’s ok to be a skeptic

Ok so first who cares if they share twitch info or whatever they have in their bio. At least if they do that you can see who they actually are and maybe get to know the person. This council just started building and has like 30 members Blizz wants it to have 100 members so it’s not even full and has yet to actually start.

Second the goal is to make the game a better place and like the game that some loved so dearly yelling at the people going out of their way to try and help that solves nothing.

So not a thread. Just a post to introduce themselves. Part of why they were chosen is because they have a stream, most likely. And it’s part of who they are as a player. So it makes sense.

Well… given your original post… we could say the same to you. I mean, you just created a mountain out of a mole hill and made it sound as if there’s some prominent thread with no feedback and just a “watch my stream” thread.

I’ve muted the Community Council Feedback subsection and instead will be using General Discussion.

There’s absolutely no reason why Blizzard should be gating feedback by “selecting” the few Pro-Blizzard fanboys who post nothing but fan praises instead of fixing the problems we have.

Topics like Class Balance and how Boomkins have been S-tier specs the entire of 9.0 to 9.1 while hunters have been at the bottom, as example. Hard topics that Blizzard have side-tracked.

I was unaware that this had to be done for EU players. Thank you for being transparent on your main character.

I understand this sentiment, but if you don’t want the fame don’t step up to the mic.

Yeah, it was very jarring to see and I’m glad the person changed their post to edit that part out. It was extremely distasteful and immediately made me not like this new system.

I’ve noticed the smug as well. Most, thankfully, seem to be very level-headed, but a couple definitely treat this like they won Prom Queen or something. It’s gross.

We don’t. Which is why I want transparency on main characters accessible to the rest of us.

We all represent the community because we are all the community. You voice is just as valid as anyone else’s and it deserves to be heard regardless of which forum you’re posting on.

He literally admitted to doing it down below.

I appreciate you coming forward on this. It massively rubbed me the wrong way, and it definitely did not show your true intentions. That said, after reading more of your posts I do believe you have our best interests at heart. Again, thanks for owning up to this and correcting it.

I do. Hope that answered your question. Bye.

Yeah, god forbid I want this council (which was created specifically to ensure feedback isn’t getting ignored by Blizzard) to actually report on the game and not self-promote their platforms that have nothing to do with this game. To me that’s a very big deal. If it isn’t to you, then scroll on? I don’t know what to tell you.

As I said, and I’ll reiterate: the guy made an introduction to himself post in a thread specifically asking people to introduce themselves. People spoke of what they do in game and outside of the game. His stream is part of his credentials.

You made a mountain out of a mole hill.

That’s your opinion. I disagree with it. Have a wonderful evening.

It’s not opinion. It’s fact based on the post itself. You’re not going to get anything good out of a council you choose to nonsensically be hostile towards.

The Community Council is even more pathetic than I imagined. A bunch of nobodies with no interesting opinions at all posting in another forum where they also get ignored. Who’s brilliant idea was this

You think I made a big deal out of nothing, I think it’s a big deal that needed to be pointed out.

You know what an opinion is, right?

I’m not hostile towards the council - we’ve all been systematically ignored for so long and I want to make sure the point of this council isn’t being undermined by shameless self-promotion for something that has nothing to do with the game. I want things to actually change. If it bothers you that I’m so passionate about it, I have absolutely no words that will make you feel better about the situation. Maybe I’ll send you a Christmas card and a snuggie. Would that help?

There’s no “think” involved. You said the following:

Completely out of context and attempting to make it into a huge deal.

The thread he replied in was to tell everyone who they were and what they’ve done for the community. His credentials include his stream. He didn’t advertise just to advertise. He introduced himself and what he does.

Let’s take a look back:

That’s definitely hostile towards them.

More proof you’re being toxic and angry nonsensically.

Having a vested interest in what goes on is one thing. You chose to instead attempt to trash a guy for introducing himself and why he’s on the council.

You are ignoring and cherry-picking sentences out of EVERYTHING ELSE I SAID IN THIS THREAD to support this narrative you have of me. You clearly have no concept of what an opinion is, and I’m kind of bored trying to explain it to you.

I think your OPINION on him putting a Twitchtv link is wrong and your reasoning is weak at best. You think you’re right. I think it’s a joke to have self promotion at all in that forum, and you think I’m wrong and I think I’m right. We can go in circles over this all night.

Also, I think you’re toxic and coming after me for no reason as I’m feeling very bullied by you, but I’m sure you think you’re justified in it so I’m not going to fight you on it. Again, if my stance on this bothers you, I don’t know what to tell you. We don’t see eye to eye on this, so just stop responding? You’re getting personal and it’s making me uncomfortable.

No, I actually quoted most of your original post. :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh, I do. And an opinion doesn’t include hyperbole, twisting a situation to fit your narrative and attempting to insult others.

I mean, you can stop responding, as well. It’s a forum. People are allowed to respond to others when replied to.

Nothing I’ve said is personal at all nor any kind of attack that would make anyone uncomfortable. I commented on how your frustration has come across and the difference between constructive and non constructive. Let’s not try to suddenly play victim here. If you dislike what I have to say, then perhaps a good idea would be to reflect on how you’ve come across and how you’ve tried to use an innocent post of introduction as some sort of platform for sensationalism.

Ah, now we’re on to gaslighting. Goodbye.

I’m not sure you understand gaslighting. You are the one that claimed my explanations of your non constructive feedback was:

And yet, I never got personal, as I don’t even know you. :woman_shrugging:t4:

awkwardly looks at the fact that I’m in the Discord and walks off whistling suspiciously…

when are the developers going to reply to the postings there?
