Half of GD is only salty they didn’t get in because they think they represent the community because they don’t do content, they just post on GD for 12 hours a degree about how they totally understand what casuals want.

You do realize it does look suspicious and seems to inject the notion of control. I will ask questions regardless.
You are absolutely more than free to ask any questions you want; and you don’t need me to tell you that. I’ll give you whatever answers I have, though I’m not privy to really any more than you are. You are well within your right to be suspicious. I’m just nervously apprehensive as to how the CC will be taken and handled, personally.

Lemme clarify here. Yes there is such a discord (Edit: Actually its even in the council announcement post). However everything that belongs to the forums we are advised (or better said told) to post on the forums.
This was also announced in the initial announcement of the council in November.
" A private discussion will also be setup for Council members to encourage direct interaction between members."

While I did literally sign up for this, I didn’t, yknow, sign up for this haha. It’s really daunting. I’m just worried about doing my best and putting in as much effort as possible so hopefully my voice- and the collective voices of others- is heard and responded to.

Irrelevant. He used it as a hub to advertise. The complete antithesis of what the forum was made for.
I’m actually glad I didn’t get invited if those are the sort of people that get an invite.

This post seems like total bait, I’ve read pretty much every post in the council forums and not one person has advertised a single bit of anything. It seems as if these people were chosen 100% fairly and without bias based on some goofy stream platform. You really need to breathe a little bit dude.
I agree with you; that’s probably why he quickly edited his post.

The council consists of many people. A lot of people are not a fan of prosidents take either. It is not, as many people believe, an echo chamber of “shills”. We are in the end, players and not Blizz Staff. I for example (which you dont know since im a main EU poster) is that my personal point of view regarding blizzard is utmost skeptical.

Where? I literally ctrl+f for “Twitch” on the intro thread and got nothing.
My results for “stream” was:
I was invited to host an official re-stream of Blizzcon 2019
I’m not special in any way, no stream or youtube etc,
I don’t stream or write guides
I even tried “.com” and it’s just 2 ppl linking their armory.
Edit: oh it seems the person edited their intro post. So it is a problem.

Sometime the windows we open and there are many in a house we see many directions ahead but it’s all one house that is important not the windows. Keep focus on the true meaning and idea than the too many open windows a person can clean.
If I may take a moment of everyone’s time to address this.
It was me.
I quickly edited the post to correct my mistake as I realized the message it sent was not what I had intended. I can tell you that I did not gain any followers as a result and I am happy about that, because my intent was not to share my platform, but to to have another way to listen to all the great ideas you all have.
I want to fix the game as much as all of you do, and I have been, and will continue to do my best to relay the issues and requests to any devs I am in contact with.

I don’t doubt that there are genuine people like you.
What I’m more cynical about is whether Blizz will actually take any action with the feedback you’ll give, and that in time you’ll will become jaded and just stop posting.
It’s good that you owned up to it. I think you just gotto keep in mind that the GD will zoom in on every comment like a hawk, so just be aware to respect the power that comes with this role, and not use it to brand yourself.

Ok so let me get this straight. You’ve got that discord, the new forum and now you want another discord? IDK. Seems like all this would be better suited to just having Blizz make you an mvp and creating a normal sub-forum and calling it day. Nothing stopping the blues from interacting with you and allows anyone else so inclined to do the same much like your proposed discord. Chances are most people wouldn’t harass you anyways since the vast majority of sub-forums are dead places no one visits cough class forums cough.

i've said for years they've been toying with us incognito. Ion could be the biggest troll and we'd never know it. not sure what purpose that would serve. we represent the .01% of the player base. those that enjoy the game probably have no reason to come here nor is anything driving them here to offer feedback
Well,the company is an entertainment ,I would guess that’s the thing,but it doesn’t help in a discussion other than that.
