Community Council member unleashes their inner Worgen

Makes sense, you don’t seem to get out much lol.

I’m spending too much time here trying to get my post count higher than my achievement points.

Just swap to another alt lol.

Have you considered that they simply don’t want to? It is their game after all. They don’t necessarily have to fulfill every single player’s niche request.

It’s far from being a niche demand, especially if you’re targeting demand for worgen tails. The main topic recently surpassed 15k posts and has been steadily climbing since 2020. I don’t think it’s really an isolated demand.

This means nothing when the bulk of posts are the same people and those that disagree with them.

It’s a bit remiss to not admit rest of that list of complaints in the CC thread is nothing more than ranting about customization that any race wishes they had. Lol Worgen received a whole overhaul and look better than they did before, then their casting animations were changed. Guess they forgot about that.

And I love the fact they compare the Worgen not getting the same treatment as high elf players and just a few sentences later says that they received a customization option that compares to the high elf / void elf situation, a bandaid instead of the actual thing.

This person is ranting they want color sliders for fur and stuff that NO race has. Nothing exists like this in wow. And while it would be amazing, it’s not… disrespectful of a certain race.

I would like to see Worgen get tails one day, I think they would look more balanced out with one. But it’s just a customization option. Like dk eye colors, braided hairstyles, or forsaken beards… something ppl wish for but just hasn’t made it in game yet.

That’s enough GD for me today.

These aren’t facts “to me”, these are facts.

Playing on a private server breaks the EULA, this is a fact for everyone who agreed to the Blizzard EULA, you agreed to this. Every single one of us here did.

Hosting a private server is copyright infringement in the US, which is where a giant chunk of players are from. If you are a US citizen then US laws apply to you.

They need to get rid of it, it serves no actual purpose.

When it comes to this topic, I think the tail is wagging the dog.

I agree, but if you have no proof that the person you’re targeting plays or hosts a private server, there’s nothing you can do but report the message. An image means nothing, there’s no nickname, no server. I don’t see how this image can ultimately be considered proof. If Blizzard believes its official client contains a mod, it’s up to them to take action. Otherwise, unless we have evidence to justify a computer audit and legal action, we’re just speculating on the presence of an image that could come from anywhere.

You elf lovers were whining and crying for High Elves non stop.

When you got void elves you started yelling and crying and throwing temper tantrums even louder and started climbing on rooftops with your screeches since what was implemented into the game didn’t fit your fanfiction.

Then you got natural skin tones on void elves because you were outright insufferable for the longest time and wouldn’t shut up about it and what did you start demanding right after that? A toggle option to disable the void-themed racials and adding paladins to this race so that you could FORCE your own headcanon into the game.

The worgen have been forgotten since Cataclysm and outright neglected before Cataclysm even released and you, elf lovers, have the gall to call them privileged? No, you stay quiet about this now, you insufferable brats, and check your own biases.

The worgen deserve a good story that makes sense.
The worgen deserve good models and customization options.
The worgen deserve not to be ignored and forgotten.
The worgen deserve to have an option to have tails.

I don’t need proof, I don’t personally care. I don’t usually report people. I’ve probably reported someone 3 times, if that. I find it hilarious that a community counsel member is using something that is completely either illegal or something that breaks the EULA to argue a point.

In the end, it’s not really a question of whether he added a mod or not, but on the other hand, sharing such an image… that’s another debate that can end badly indeed…

Anyway, that’s not really the point, the point is mainly the content of his post as well as the worgen.

Good. Being a “worgen player” or “orc player” or “elf player” is just code for the worst, most toxic tribalism. “Oh, you added 1,234 things to the game? Well, too bad, none of them are about the one thing I care about, obviously this is because you have a grudge against me personally.”

So…let me see if I understand this correctly. You are angry that people want customization options for the race that they enjoy? And voice their desire to have those options? Is…that the gist of it? Cause that’s a super weird take.

Have you ever created a Worgen? Haven’t you noticed that all Worgens have almost the same options, so much so that there are hardly any? Well, the options used have often remained the same since Cataclysm.

Worgens are the only race without access to jewelry and necklaces, a distinction shared only with Mechagnomes. Human and Worgens customizations aren’t even similar, which makes sense for a creature that can change shape at will. Anything else? Nearly half the armor features bugs, damaged textures, cut ears and exposed areas to let the helmet through. Even our own model is buggy: the three-fingered paws have a generic four-fingered wolf paw print, which makes no sense. Despite the redesign, these problems persist.

As for ignore requests, they’re pretty straightforward compared to elven players, who have need San’layn, High Elf, and even more customization options. We simply ask for black fur, an optional tail, scars, jewelry, necklaces and animations that don’t speed up in our current form. Yes, if you take a giant potion, the animations appear strangely normal.

Is it really complicated to have these features? Do you consider these requests too much for our Worgen form? Well, majority is a customization available for all races, along with some essential upgrades

add: It’s important to understand that most of us aren’t asking for bugs to be fixed; we’ve become accustomed to them over time. We simply want to have a character that is visually interesting to look at.

i guess you didnt look at the thread?
didnt see the art that have worgen with tails? this is just false.

Just because an artist created some concept art doesn’t mean that the devs ever considered using it. Hearthstone is not world of warcraft, it has little to no ties to this games lore or direction.

I imagine all the races received tons of concept art that had been rejected by the devs on the basis that they wouldn’t fit the game.
