Community Council member unleashes their inner Worgen

Not just CC forum members, remember a while back some random GD’er posted a thread about “worgen tails”… and it turned into a megathread with 1000s of replies?? …I just… I can’t even
:laughing::rofl::rofl:

Then there was also another GD’er that made a post about Draenei warlocks - which also blew up into a 1000+ megathread

It’s like, priorities? Of all the problems in the game, these (worgen tails, Draenei warlocks, etc) are the topics that turn into megathreads? :flushed:

Being insufferably cynical about motivation does not negate da fact dat changes were needed to da game for a more equitable atmosphere, mon.

It’s tah truth, mon.
If we look back on the “changes” they made in the past, it’s obvious they keep this for emergencies hidden.

  • Drak’thyr could farm MoP/WoD mounts easily → suddenly they do the decade-long requested drop change
  • A lawsuit follows, suddenly SL becomes playable with 9.1.5
  • Mechagnomes failed hard → Fair Skin options for Void Elves, out of nowhere, within a few weeks
  • Player numbers decreased → High Elf hair colors for Void Elves (also patch 9.1.5).

It’s always the same.

Are we to remain silent when a race that has existed for 13 years benefits from less customization than an allied race released only 5 years ago? Do you find it normal that a request as simple as the ability to change form automatically once combat is over - a request that dates back to the Cataclysm - was only met for worgens with the introduction of dracthyrs?

A request as simple as the addition of black fur is not granted, preferring to opt for a shade of dark blue… We ask for independent scars, adaptable to all furs, but we get unsightly marks worthy of a dog suffering from mange…

We simply want more customization options for a breed we cherish. If you think this is superfluous and excessive, feel free to think so, and then make your voice heard with solid arguments.

The problem with Blizzard is, that they don’t get things right the first time, which is why they always need to go back to the pestering.

Apparently “top tier” developers in the gaming industry.

You can do whatever you’d like, you just need to remember that you don’t develop the game and you might not like everything that happens.

So, you’re upset that you finally got what you wanted? Maybe Blizzard had no plans of ever giving that option but decided to change their mind. It happens.

Everyone wants more customization, and as much that has been getting put out lately the artists are probably working on something or have plans. Take a number, everyone else is waiting also.

You’re paying $15 a month and investing your time here. If they aren’t capable of developing a game that is worth your time then go spend your money and time on some different ‘top tier’ developers who make a better game.

You misunderstand your position here. We’re customers and we have the right to complain and criticize things we don’t find optimal.

But you know how the text goes. You can always look for another game to spend your forum time there, if this bothers you too much.

How do you think I feel? Because the devs made such an unnecessarily big secret out of it, I bought a month of game time, (even though I don’t like df very much) thinking that this would finally be something worthwhile to play. So much for that.

You’re welcome to complain. You’re also welcome to be a better consumer and not pay for a product that you don’t enjoy. All you really do is complain.

This is correct, take your own advice if the game is so bad.

Who said that I don’t enjoy the game? You’re jumping way too much conclusions.

I have a better idea: You’re continuing to support this topic, because this will please me.

It’s important to understand that the majority’s anger isn’t about having nothing, it’s mainly about the lack of communication with the community and the demands of the community council. There are a number of things I don’t like, and others I do like, so it’s up to them to develop what they feel is a priority.
The subject of adding customization and improving worgen has been debated ever since their wobbly modifications in cataclysm, so it’s not something new.

The scars are present on two furs, which frankly are far from beautiful, even completely ugly unless you’re a dk… The question is, why was such a thing created when players are asking for something totally different?

Are you aware that worgen were created 13 years ago? Do you find it normal to still have the same options available after all this time? No earrings, no necklaces, no different snouts, no independent scars, no new hairstyles, no new ears, no men with upright postures… Apart from fur and eye colors, worgens have not added anything since their creation…

Finally, they’re much busier creating yet another new allied race to be forgotten in the next expansion…

The joke was funny lol.

This biggest issue with that armor was the colors. Way too vibrant compared to the original worgen colors.

then they could just do a recolor - but I would not be pleased with replacing it with another set.

That’s the funny thing. One intern or something could have made color variants in less than an hour but blizzard hasn’t.

Rather, they dubbled down on the faulty color and aesthetics as seen with the mess of an outfit.

They even made genn’s human form look less ragged!

I’m so glad they posted that in CC- maybe Blizzard will actually see it…

I t would be amazing to actually get a Blizzard response.

They messed up with the whole Gilneas stuff. They really should reply, if not by a blue post then by some hot fixes.

If you bought a month of game time for a x.x.5 patch, and were unhappy with the amount of content.

I mean. My brother in Thrall.

Thats sorta on you. It being a x.x.5 patch is Blizzard saying “there will barely be anything to do”. Because thats what x.x.5 patches are.

Same thing for expecting portals. Portals should never have been expected. Flight paths, I get.

That was indeed foolish of me. It’s still a Blizzard game. My expectations were definitely set way too high. At least it’s just one month.

But as a Blizzard game, you should know that x.x.5 patches are always small?

You should not have had high expectations at all for a x.x.5 patch.
