I would be happy to let every faction conflict plot line be abandoned if it meant we could have a story again instead of Anduin & Pals’ Soap Operas.
Really. I don’t need closure on Teldrassil. I wasn’t going to get it, anyway.

pretty shameful hat the story of the night elves was sacrificed to advance the story of the horde and sylvanas.
Every Alliance player knew how it was going to end.
Most Horde players, too, I bet.
it only made them uncomfortable when they heard the screaming, then Elune ks the Horde by putting everyone to sleep…
instead of a port out (maybe the tree in Duskwood?), which i think wouldve made the night warrior far more interesting
Alternate: “Pretty shameful that the story of The Alliance was sacrificed to advance the story of the Horde.”
It’s really the entire reason we exist. Once I accepted that, it made all the stupidity much easier to tolerate. Now I’m just here for the party hats.
This is a complete aside, but the guy that accompanies you on Hordeside for that questline - the Horde counterpart for Delaryn - lives rent free in my head at all times.
Like, if I recall, that dude had a blood-boiling hatred for night elves because they…exiled his ancestors to Quel’thalas for misbehaving, which is a little bit like wanting to send all Italians to the mines because you’re upset a relative died in the Punic Wars.
If I remember correctly that guy was actually alive to remember said banishment happening, right?
Thats pretty crazy, and seems to indicate that blood elves are much more long-lived than I had thought!
That’s blood-boiling until you just accept that the lore is insane, and then it’s funny because the Horde literally goes to war over hurt feelings and that’s hysterical.
Man.
BFA really happened, didn’t it.
I’m not sure what it’s like for Alliance but for rebel Horde they outright say that the rebellion is super small compared to the ones loyal to Sylvanas. In fact, it’s implied that even with the Alliance backing them up that it still might not be enough. So yes, they absolutely were a minority. That is even when they know the rebels have Thrall, Saurfang, Baine, Lor’themar, etc.
can we get a server canon that BFA never happened? just this once. for me.
we live in an expansion society
But then you wouldn’t have vulpera!
Proposed alternate server canon: the Alliance and Horde had to gather allies to fight the impending void threat.
This would have made more sense for what we actually ended up getting since both Kul Tiras and Zandalar were having void issues.
just yeets Velves into the villain bin as well
yeah, the fourth war was entirely against the void and the factions worked together. canon
Don’t forget his father died of frostbite or hyperthermia or whatever despite being a member of an entire society of wizards with dominion over the seasons who are capable of conjuring fire with their minds.
Also his surname is Sunbeam.
I’m fine with retconning the Vulpera as the Horde’s roommates who are hanging out until their band gets its break if you are.
I mean, no one has still managed to explain to me what they are. So I was right that it was a weird cloning experiment?
There was a quest in Hillsbrad where living human victims were being buried in a field of manure up to their chins. You could either help the seedlings by digging them up, or kill them by smashing their heads in with the very same shovel.
