Command table

Maybe you and your friends should switch your majors from the social “sciences” to something a little more concrete, lest you be left behind by basic concepts!

I’m keeping a few lower levels around, in hope for spawning lower level missions. Since they don’t affect my troop’s level (I have 9 level 30s), they are my experiment for now.

We did NOT spend that much on this stupid thing did we?! OMG I’ll be so annoyed if I did that before realising how scarce anima is after the main covenant campaign was finished.

haha it is worth it.

for every 3 x 8hour quest someone can run in a day, we can run 4.

that’s 7 extra a week, 30 extra a month give or take. on an average of 900xp per 8 hour quest that’s 27,000xp not to mention the extra anima, gold, mats, and loot we get.

They also get more rewarding. At first you get 30 anima from minions which is a pittance when you’re spending 10-12 to even do the mission. As you level up you get progressively more anima and it becomes worthwhile to run these. Additionally, gold quests give more gold so it becomes a better source of income.

It’s worth it if your followers are clearing missions consistently.

totally. I am on 9 now and i get the 2 eternal crystals per chest as well as the 50 anima instead of 30.

but i am not going any further until I recruit Bron next week and level him to 30. then i will go to adventure level 10 and try that for a few weeks.

the thing i do not want to lose are the XP quests. they help A LOT. i recruited Hala last night at 9:30pm. I ran her on an XP quest at 10pm, 1:30am, and 5am. With just those 3 quests, I believe I have her up to level 15 now.

the only pain is setting my alarm and sleeping in 3 hour spurts…

Sounds like you and your group of people are going out of your way to not learn/understand it at all

You are a command table Hero!

Wait all your followers are above level 40 right?

There are some mobs that buff their friends or debuff enemies to take more damage, but we have no control over turn order, so whats the point? Why not just set it up so they attack in the order you slot them so we can utilize their skills?

I don’t think I lost anything yet, but mainly do the anima missions only. I do the gear if it’s an upgrade, but am not trying to be under leveled due to pushing to hard.

I have had Hala on 3 XP missions since 10PM last night. She’s on her 4th one now that will take me to 5pm. I will put her on another til 8:30 then another from 8:30pm to midnight. Then I have a final one that will run Midnight to 6PM and I’ll let her go off on her own.

She is 14 now so my guess is after 4 more she’ll be 21 or 22. Then I’ll let her lead her own team of foot soldiers running the simple/lower level quests or sacrificing her on harder quest alone just to grind for the XP.

Unless I get a new hero this week or next, all I have to look forward to by way of recruiting a new hero is Bron on the 16th.

Update:

Kleia hit 50 today.

Personally, I divide the total enemy health by my total attacks to get an approximate number of rounds to kill number. Then I multiply the number of those rounds by the enemy attack and compare the result to my own total health. If it’s less than, then I pull the trigger. Of course, this is far from foolproof because, depending on the layout, my troops may decide to spread all their damage out evenly while theirs focus fire, taking out my guys and crippling my damage before I can take any of theirs down.

Does this addon have a name? I’ll have to get it ASAP.

This, IMO, is the worst aspect of the table. I thought I learned my lesson the first time around and made sure to outlevel the table before advancing the campaign on my alt. The resulting quests are still above my companions’ level. It’s even more frustrating that the XP quests don’t offer much more (if any) XP above what the previous ones did.

To be quite honest, WoD had the best mission table. I don’t know why they felt the need to change it. Were players frustrated with the clean and simple design? Was the ability/counter-ability dynamic just too much fun for us to handle? Did the way the missions naturally scaled to your companions’ level seem overly logical and enjoyable? Why did Blizzard feel compelled to give us unfun and illogical version of the command table? I had high hopes for the table when the expansion first released. The detailed combat report seemed interesting and potentially fun, but the experience quickly degenerated.

I find it funny that people who were abusing the trappers/dreamweaver are now complaining. The same people who said in guild chat over and over “omg this is so broken LOL! they are so OP! I’ll just continue to abuse it”. Yeah good job man.

funny enough i retired in WOTLK and have only been back for more than a week for this expansion.

i never had the opportunity for WoD table so I have no idea how much better it could be. That said this is the only command table i have played on and i enjoy it.

it is simple enough to be a passing distraction at a few minutes every few hours but entertaining enough to drive my desire for success to hit level 60 HEROES before most anyone else does.

oh the add on is called Venture Plan, it’s GREAT!

If we need a pencil and paper or calculator to play this game we may as well give up and start playing EVE :joy:

I have 20+ alts I have been farming torghast for companions.

The whole thing is confusing to me all together.

For instance I have every follower available on my hunter I got them all first then leveled them together. They are all level 14. I no longer get Experience missions.

So what i noticed is those missions that have pet charms or other useless mats will reward 300-1500 experience. Throw away missions. The ones you fail on purpose to get XP and to heal your companions by dying.
Those missions are gated 10-12 hours on purpose I believe to gate the leveling of followers it feels to me.

This whole expansion is just way way to overloaded with time sinks like more then I have ever seen before.

The mission table designs to thwart alts from collecting gold I’m guessing is an overkill.

I keep a calculator handy for times like these…

I am loving the command table because I figured out how it works. And now I am making it work for me.

I am Kyrian. For my main team I have Kleia, Kythekios, and Nemea at 50, Pelagos 850XP from 49 , and Mikanikos at 45.

AND I did (almost) all of this before last weeks ‘buffs’.

I picked up Hala at 9:30pm Monday and here we are on Wednesday and she’ll be level 20 tonight by 9:30pm.

Add in earning 2-4 eternal crystals a day plus other mats, anima, and gold; it has really been entertaining and rewarding for me.

I look forward to getting more level 1 heroes. Leveling those guys is a fun way for me to pass the time.

As for anima, I currently have 3500 banked so I don’t worry that running quests will deplete my anima reserve.

If you look harder, they’re all mobile mini games w/o the RMT. Anything useful is either rare, takes a long time, or both. Anything that encourages avoiding the obvious power choices take the longest time (so that the annoyance is higher to encourage the microtransaction).

There’s a lot of people who are looking at lvl30 and under, lvl25, etc. and not seeing any upside since the xp mission nerf.

Ok but if you start talking spreadsheets we’re done!
