Hey blizzard, not trolling here. Perhaps my crew and myself are the only ones that are too stupid to figure out the command table. But, I don’t know if you realize this but the command table is literally the worst it’s ever been. We mean absolutely no disrespect from this. So please take this as our opinion and not as some whiny kids saying “give us things for free”
Everyone I talk to in my circle which have deep college educations and a handful of the guild doesn’t really know what’s going on with the command table in the slightest. Yes there was a mini tutorial which IMO told us absolutely nothing. We plug random dudes in 99% of the time and we hope for the best. If you are 2/4 of the covenants you are SOL to even do anything useful with this feature. Thus the MASSIVE hotfix that came out yesterday.
I hear there is a newly released addon that takes all the guesswork out of the equation for you. Great. It would be terrific if this feature we less clunky mode obvious what we need to work around and less “just hope for the best” or get another addon to make things work in the game.
All the buffs to venthyr and Kyrian are proof that this was just thrown together in a single day with no thought process in it. At least in the past the previous iterations of this command table feature were easier to manage, read, understand what you need to counter or do. This, in our opinions are too much of a pain to deal with. Free rewards or not.
By trial and error my NF would just use one hero and 5 trappers and win vs using healers and positioning certain guys on the front line vs the back line. Now with the nerf I have lost all interest in the table period since my success doing that has dropped to like 40% if that.
The best part is I accidentally completed “advance the command table difficulty further” a few times not realizing that would screw me over. Now I have all 37 level quests when a majority of my followers were 27 a week and a half ago. I’ve been hoping to try to complete enough super high level missions to get my guys. up there so they can not be 10 levels + behind the current offered quests. Worst mistake ever. But was this obvious? Hell no. I just plugged people into a quest 13 levels bigger and actually beat it, screwing myself along the way cause now to catch up it’s a huge uphill battle.
Or like I said perhaps me and my crew/ guild are too small brain for this. If all of us are having issue really grasping it, perhaps there is more to be desired here. Perhaps we aren’t the only ones here thinking this is more vague and “a waste of anima” than it needs to be.
PS: the anima drought makes sense cause that’s the base problem from shadowlands and all lore wise but FFS is it a chore to ever have enough anima for upgrading anything beyond level two in your sanctuary. I have zero desire to do dailies with wq that are the most tedious and unnecessarily long than they have ever been. BFA wq at least didn’t try to force me to take approximately 9 ish min on every quest to keep the metrics high. They had one kill quests mixed with some annoying ones but generally speaking took 3-4 min per vs the 9 ish min in SL.
We shouldn’t have to study an in depth tutorial for a small feature like this.
Someone said it best in the wowhead comments. “We have noticed that Nightfae were the only covenant able to complete soul ash missions on the table, we nerfed them to be more in line with the others”
