The nameplate combo point display still shows combo points that you don’t really have.
Here’s an example:
The nameplate says I have 5 combo points, while the player frame says I only have three. The player frame is correct, and the nameplate is wrong — I had three combo points.
This bug happens all the time, even without anima-charged combo points. It affects not just rogues but also druids and arcane mages.
The glitch was previously marked as a known bug in the Known Issues tracker, but has since been removed even though it’s not fixed.

I’m really not trying to exaggerate, but as some specs, this bug makes the game borderline unplayable. As outlaw, for example, my nameplate combo point display bugs so often that it is essentially lying to me as much as half the time. I literally have no idea how many combo points I have if I rely on the default nameplates.
This is a huge bug, and I don’t know how it’s persisted this long. It’s not the kind of quality I expect from Blizzard games.
Sorry for the rant. Just bummed out about this.

Today, my combo point display so badly that it was just stuck at 2 combo points. It wouldn’t fix itself until I reloaded.

Throwing in a bonus bug: When I die, the health bar on my nameplate often disappears; the energy and combo point display remain. Disabling all addons did not fix this (or the combo point issue).

A weird version of this bug: I don’t think it ever shows my combo points correctly from my Garrote opener. It always shows me at 0 combo points when I have 3.

During the community feast today, I don’t think my nameplate’s combo point display was correct even once.

This bug is also affecting arcane mages. There was a blue post updated November 15 that mentioned it for rogues, but there was no mention of feral druid or arcane mage. The newer list of known bugs doesn’t even list the bug for any class/spec.

I wouldn’t mind it as much if I could disable the power display on my personal nameplate. But that’s not possible, as far as I can tell.
Instead, the game’s UI is essentially lying to me all the time. This seems like a priority issue.

Just posting here to say it’s still quite broken and can be very disorienting. I really want to give the new UI a chance, but this seriously throws me off. Hope to hear some news!
