I noticed the 36 slot bag from the HS event is no longer dropping since I got all collectibles, as in the various cards for the achi, mount, pet, toy, and the 3 transmog items.
Early on it dropped pretty easily on 2 different alts and since I got all other items I only get green quality HS cards, and I’ve seen other people with this issue, one even tried to trade the bag from an account that didn’t have all items to an account who had and it said the latter was not eligible for the bag, even though both killed the boss in the same group.
So I assume blizzard needs to fix and there’s not a lot of time for that with this event, by any chance did anyone who collected all other items manage to get any more bags?
Same issue here. Got the bag on an alt no problem, the second I swapped to my main and got the last rare item I was missing, I haven’t gotten loot on my main since. Only thing he is missing is the bag, and I fear now I messed something up and won’t get it.
I wanted to max out everything on my main before I started working on alts, but after reading this thread, seems like that was the wrong decision. Killed boss 2 times on alt after getting all the collectables on main and only got wild cards, was hoping to get the bag on an alt
Wanted to add to this. Wrapped up all collectibles yesterday, and random cards this morning.
Easily ran the event 20+ times today, if not more, on an alt without the bag, intentionally. The plan being to get it on as many alts as possible like the Horadric bag from the Diablo event.
Nothing has dropped but green cards. And yes, I’m deleting them when I cap 10 due to the rumor that having 10 prevented any loot drops (doubtful but why chance it).
Please look into this as every day counts… heck, every hour does!
I have looted everything except the bag, but none of my alts are getting it either. Not sure if I have poor luck or if it is a bug. I’ll leave my comment here to hopefully encourage Blizzard to confirm this or not, though.
Can we get some conformation on this? I’d rather not waste my time every hour if only one of my characters can get the pack. I’m up to 12+ Kills today on 3 different characters and no luck.
Ok, so can give you some hope: when the servers came back up in EU about 20 mins ago, I got another of these bags on a character of my 2nd account, which makes it 2 bags on that acc (1 on 1st) and the first bag after having all collectibles of the event, so potentially they might have fixed this with the maintenance, I was really surprised to see a bag after the constant no loot the last day.
However let’s see if there’s at least another drop to people who have all collectibles to confirm it’s fixed and ofc we still have to see if that goes for the US too.
Can confirm I just got it. I killed it more than a dozen times from 3PM EST to just now by using custom group finder to realm/shard hop around and get as many kills per hour as I could.
The bag was the very last thing to drop for me and many times I just looted the green/blue hearthstone cards. My RNG simply sucked, so no bug.
For those who don’t have it, just keep grinding, you’ll get it. Now to do this on my alts.
It’s definitely still dropping, I see it drop in every group I’m in. But this thread is for those who are no longer seeing the bag drop for them or their alts, once they’ve already collected/learned all the other drop items from the event (including the bag, at least once).
Darkpower seems to have had some luck after a server reset, but I don’t know what impact, if any, it being on their 2nd account might have?
Yeah, I said I got the bag to drop last after I had already got everything else. Only hearthstone cards were dropping for dozens of kills in a row, then boom – the bag dropped. It isn’t a bug, its just bad RNG. Keep grinding, it’ll drop.
So my experience with bags was: I got one on my first account (they’re both on the same bnet) 11 hours after the event began, then I got one on 2nd acc 12 hours after the event began, then 6 hours after I finished collecting all HS cards and the other items, then I went a whole day without bag drops, and I got another bag on 2nd acc just after the servers came back up; this was my first daily kill (these items might have higher chance on first kill of the day) and haven’t seen another drop in the last few hours.
By all means, I think this counts, since none of my accs were dropping it before, though if there’s no bug at play the drop rate seems really abysmal, significantly lower than the diablo event one, which had 1 in 7 chance.
I just got it on another character, so its just bad luck and not a bug. I think a lot of people just feel entitled to things and mistake RNG for a bug. Anyway, good luck to everyone, took me dozens of kills on multiple characters, so don’t give up – you’ll get it!
I received everything else before the 36-slot bag finally dropped on my main (first time I’d seen it on my account too) yesterday. I haven’t seen it drop for any of my alts yet; will try to keep an eye out for this.
Assuming this wasn’t an attempt to trade between factions, it’s just the system being very temperamental and unfortunately nothing new (as can be exemplified by my old thread regarding the DF pre-launch event).
The portal just spawned in Valdrakken while I was typing, so I’m currently on an alt for the “first attempt of the day” (just in case).
Welp, was just Wild Cards again. Trying an LFG for Durotar next. Hooray, bag dropped for my hunter.
Edit: I did the portal event for the first time on my priest alt and the bag dropped. Not sure if lucky or the drop rate’s been changed, but I guess I’ll find out when I do my warrior alt next.
Edit #2: Participated in the Valdrakken portal event on my warrior alt (it was her first ever), and the bag dropped yet again. Well now either I’m outrageously lucky, or the drop rate really was changed.
Edit #3: Final edit. I had the bag drop for my druid alt (and yet again, first attempt) at the Valdrakken portal event. Disbelieving, I skipped re-arranging her bags and immediately switched to my death knight alt and flew her to the one in Durotar. The bag did not drop for her, ending the 4-streak of bag drops for my account.
But did you get a second bag -before- you collected every other collectible, or after you had everything? All random cards for achieve, pet, mount, all transmogs and the toy?
If you’re still chasing some of the rewards, that may be why you got a second bag.
The issue in question is if the bag still drops once you’ve collected -everything-, on an alt, on the same account.
I’m up to 30 portals after collecting everything. Since then, no bag has dropped for any alt that doesn’t have it. Nothing but green cards (and I’m deleting them due to the rumored bug too so that’s not it either)
It’s not about entitlement, it’s about consistency.
If we are regularly getting “rare” event item drops every 2nd or 3rd Whizbang encounter (including 2 bag drops on different characters for me), to only getting Wild Card drops for 15-25 encounters after collecting every other item, it appears that something is wrong because it is no longer consistent.
In the Diablo version of this event, duplicate “rare” items continued to drop, so there was no appearance of a bug, just a low drop rate for that bag. By implementing a system to disallow duplicates for all but one item, while keeping the drop rate low on that item, it creates the appearance of a bug.
For yourself, and any others who have continued to get the Collector’s Carryall, have you been able to get the bag more than once a day after getting every other item?
