Blizzard put out more information on the collectors bounty buff. They confirmed that all pre-dragonflight dungeon and raid mounts will have their drop rate increased to 5%. While that may seem low its still a massive buff.

What a 5% drop rate means:
90% of mount farmers will see a drop by 46 attempts
99% of mount farmers will see a drop by 90 attempts
I’ll be going for rivendares deathcharger first! Kinda hesitant to try a raid mount off the rip, if the buff is broken i’ll end up being locked to the boss and have a wasted week.
50% it either drops or it doesn’t
So, for legacy raids, those will only drop once per week? Or can they be spammed?

What’s the latest source you’re going by? I don’t trust Wowhead, because they reported it wrong initially, even though they included the blue post, which they contradicted.
Blizzard posted a youtube short where they state 5% drop rates for pre-dragonflight mounts and 5% drops on select legendaries.
The sad thing about that YT short is that…they’ve since removed it. For reasons unknown to us, but the fact is that video is now gone for one reason or another.
I’ve looked though YouTube through Blizzard’s channel and World of Warcraft channel, and I see nothing about this.

Yeah, Blizzard’s removed their own video for reasons we can only guess at. Maybe something in it was inaccurate and they’re going to upload a new video that’s accurate, but we really have no idea why it’s gone now.

The one I saw yesterday read +5%, not just 5%.
I’ll put this to the test with Rivendare’s mount I’ll bet I still come out of this event without it.
Update Ran 3 alts last night for a total of 30 attempts - 0 mounts - 8 rivendare swords.
True, so its actually better than the estimates i gave. A 1% drop now being 6%.
Or maybe it is 5% and they accidentally put +5% so thats why they took the short down?
I sometimes rely on dumb luck…THAT mount is one of the first raid drops I ever got and I got it on the first try…I was painfully lucky, and I know it.
The buff is active blizzard is working on displaying it. Per their customer support twitter
