Cmon already.. give us a path to getting the Mage Tower Bear skin or a version of it

Then if you’re not elitist, avoid name-calling and making assumptions about why other people may want it back, and then we can get away from the evidence that you are being elitist, okay?

LOL.

Each expansion should come with new shapeshift forms that are not spec-linked. AND they should rework the original forms, which are crude-looking.

I agree with your statement, I’m not sure why Blizzard decides to be soo lazy with things like this. Seems easy enough to put a design team on, but then again I’ve never worked there, so I wouldn’t know how truly difficult it may be.

Player fun does not factor into their vision of the future of the game.

This should have been in the spellbook. But they love their one-size-fits-all-but-none-very-well strategy.

Or maybe they just hate druids because the unique characteristics of our class are impossible to balance by one button templates.

seems like new forms were something they were always very stand off ish about. Not sure why. Have they ever even given a real statement about it?

I don’t think so, but it took them till Cataclysm just to add more than NElf and Tauren to the list, with their own unique models, and even longer for each character to be differentiated by either skin or hair color.

The first time a new rig was implemented was when Druids got Claws of Shirvallah as a 100 Leve Talent. This form was lost with the Talent for Legion.

The next new rig is the Mage Tower skin for the Claws of Ursoc Artifact.

No reason to not have them available with other skins other than a lack of will to make them.

This goes back to Blizzards design implementation in general. Why are there soo few customization options available in game? Most other games, specifically the one I used to play and love “City of Villains” had an amazing customization for characters.

Why can’t we…

  1. Change muscle size and height of character?
  2. Why aren’t there more neat customization for belts and backs? Like backpacks, tool kits ect.
  3. Upright postures for more classes in general that don’t have them available?
  4. Why in 2020 are Taurens heads still NOT on top of their bodies?
  5. Why can’t we chose our casting, and weapon animations for characters? Example: Maybe you want a Blood Elf Warrior, but hate how they swing their weapons. So you can choose the Orc Animations for your Blood Elf.

I’m sure there’s much more I haven’t thought of that we could get options for, but this is just a few ideas.

I’m leveling a druid right now so obviously I will never get the exclusive Legion appearances.

In my opinion the problem is not exclusivity at all. I think that’s actually really cool. I like the idea of rewarding players who played during a certain time period.

The problem is: if you’re going to do that, you have to make exclusive stuff every expansion. You can’t just pick one out of seven expansions and just reward those players. That is where the unfairness comes in.

See this is the funny thing, Blizzard doesn’t have to do anything. Life isn’t fair, which is the point i was trying to make in previous posts. Why does everything need to be fair? It’s not fair I haven’t won the lottery, but I’m not on here making posts about how unfair that is lol.

Everything doesn’t have to be fair. But if it is something we can control, why shouldn’t we strive for that?

If I am creating something for people, I’m going to make it fair for as many people as possible.

I feel you.

I think the wereform shape should be available by some means, but the colors should remain exclusive. Especially since our shapes are limited as it is.

It was available to unlock for over a year and a half.

That’s above and beyond generous for a time-limited thing. What about that is unfair?

It is unfair because the reward structure isn’t consistent. If Blizzard wants to introduce a system by which you are rewarded cosmetics for being subbed during a specific expansion, that’s great, and I wish they would do more of that.

But you just can’t cherry pick one expansion. Specifically, you can’t give a reward all Druids have been asking for for over a decade (more forms), and limit that to just one period of time… unless you plan to do introduce other unique expansion-specific rewards on a regular basis.

If it was a regular occurance, everyone would be rewarded in some way. Maybe you wouldn’t be subbed during the expansion that had your favorite forms, and maybe you’d miss out on them, but at least you’d have something to show for yourself. That would be fair.

I also feel the need to add the disclaimer that I think those Mage Tower forms are hideous and I am not sad I missed them at all. I’m just arguing for the sake of fairness.

It doesn’t have to be consistent, that’s literally the nature of an ever-changing MMO. There are rewards every expansion that get removed at the end of the expansion. Just because they aren’t Druid forms every expac doesn’t mean they’re inconsistent.

How am rewarded this expansion for being a Druid and playing during BFA that I will not be able to obtain next expansion? Surely there has to be something? Or else it wouldn’t be fair.

I feel like its kinda dumb to restrict customization in a game that has very little of it. It’s kinda lame that an already limited selection of low poly animal forms is restricted even further because “Muh exclusivity”.

City of Heroes was an outlier (and quite fantastic for it). Most other MMORPGs of the time had little much else in customization. Some since are far worse. WoW’ s main competition at launch was Everquest, and the customization there is lacking. Dark Age of Camelot at least allowed you to change size, but it was out of three options. Even Everquest 2 doesn’t have much else in the way of customization.

It’s only when you start getting in to relatively recent engines that you can get ridiculous levels of customization in a character, and they’re almost all oriental (i.e. Blade & Sword, Black Desert, etc). I think Secret World is the only western one that gets it relatively good.

(I don’t count Champions Online because it’s customization is City of Heroes 2.0, literally).

Change it to “shapes” (there are two, after all), and I am in full agreement. It would even be nice to see the racial variants promulgated across the board as an option, too.

Plenty of people would love to have the sick glaives from mop challenge modes too. Form or not doesnt matter. Sucks but as much as people wanna complain that exclusive part of a set or cosmetic creates greater appeal vs a different color tint.

I didnt heal in legion and didnt get any of those appearances, now I regret it. Is what it is though. Same with mop challenge modes. Not first time and wont be the last time.

2 problems with that.

  1. Every other class gets to use their transmog at all times, and so, gets to use their new guises all the time. Guardian and Feral have only had this opportunity with Legion. That’s 5 with 4 colorings out of how many tiers of gear through out the history of WoW?

  2. As has been mentioned, Blizzard has changed their mind before on things. “You think you do, but you don’t” ring any bells? How about all those PvP transmog one can get several seasons later?
