Clone Gold

Ok so that means you didnt understand me earlier. This requires someone stay in classic, that’s redistributing.

I SAID THAT AGES AGO!

yes but we weren’t arguing semantics you are. Our argument is that the buying power of the individual doubles. Which it does

I have always said someone has to stay in Classic… Did you read any of my posts before jumping in?

The server’s each have the same amount of gold on them, tell me im wrong. I understand your point but I think its stupid.

And yes this entire argument has been about whether or not individual buying power in seperate games is the point. Which is semantics because the gold stayed the same.

Gladly.

You’re Wrong

I guess I’ll spell it out for you one more time.

Scenario without clone. Player A has 30k player B has 30k one goes to classic one goes to TBC each server gets 30k gold added to its economy.

Scenario with clone. Player A trades his 30k to Player B, Player b now has 60k gold. Player B clones to both servers and trades the 60k to Player A. Each server has 60k gold added to its economy.

People are trying to argue that because you can clone your character to another game (Classic or TBC), and the games do not interact themselves, that this is gold duplication.

This is the dumbest idea I’ve ever read.

It doesnt, the 30k was already there and a player chose not to play that character. Stop thinking about indivuduals, the raw gold count didnt change.

The raw gold count did change. The gold in circulation changed. Gold that is locked on an inaccessible character is gold that is not in the economy.

Specifically they are saying you could transfer all your gold to someone on a game version you arent playing.

AH, but it is on the server, the gold count didnt change. Even if they choose not to use it or give it away the total was X before and stays X after.

Not at all.

You keep saying it changed, but it didn’t. The same amount of gold that exists prior to May 18th will exist after May 18th. Whether it will be circulating or not, that is other matter.

The matter is: there is no duplication of gold, because TBC classic and Classic Era are two different games, as of May 18th.

I have at every point in my argument been talking about gold in circulation… which is what actually matters.

We have been trying to tell you we disagree with that position. That is why this argument is semantics.

explain to me how gold not in circulation has ANY effect on buying power

I don’t care about that, the gold on the server is the same. People may or may not choose to play on a server or activate later, the gold on the server is the gold on the server.

So your argument against my point that you can use the clone to effectively double your buying power has nothing to do with buying power? Why respond then?

Because I was angry you didnt understand thats what everyone was saying. You were ignoring them and arguing a different point nobody cares about and acting like everyone else was stupid. YOU weren’t reading other peoples posts and saying THEY didnt understand you. It was you who didnt understand.

Now, lets all agree this dumb thread is dead.

They were attacking my point… How was I arguing a different point when I was responding to reason my point was wrong

For the record if your argument is that gold duplication doesn’t exist at all then its also wrong. What you’re arguing is that Everyone’s gold is duplicated not that no ones is
