Classic's success will forever change retail for the better

I mean I sure don’t feel the need to grind out breaths of air for two days to farm for a weapon that I ended up replacing 3 days later :stuck_out_tongue: Also I am not going to spend all my gold on white vender gear like I did on my first toon.

I am super sad that this is probably the actuality of it all :frowning:

Except wowpop only tells you how many characters there are. How useful is something like 16 million 120s or whatever number it is?

Does this mean FFXIV and ESO have never been proud of their numbers? And aren’t proud of them today?

I am not sure if it will, but I would love for the developers get some inspiration from Classic to bring back the MMORPG aspect of the game to WoW.
Don’t get me wrong, I know that Classic wasn’t the best, far from it, it had a lot of flaws, but it did feel like a MMORPG, you went adventuring, your journey mattered, min/maxing at it’s best, from specs to gear, that feeling of getting a legendary weapon and walking on your main city showing everyone how good you are.

But unfortunately, I am not sure how they could do it, people got way too entitled in Retail, people want leveling to be fun but they also want to be quick and easy for an example, I don’t know what they can do unfortunately.

Why do Classic posters continue to feel the urge to post in GD? Isn’t your community so awesome? Why do you feel the urge to come visit this section when it doesn’t have your “awesome community?”

What will change retail for the better is if we stop removing systems that worked and try to implement new ones.

And when we do that very thing, at least keep some of what was good about the systems going forward instead of throwing everything away.

I do not want Classic’s awful combat, I have seen some of it and it looks boring. I can play a solo RPG if I Want auto attack combat with a few abilities. I want talent trees, more crafting options, reforging, 10/25 raiding system (maybe at least 10 so people with less people can raid harder content), and currency gear vendors back.

Past expansions all had something nice that I want to see in the game again be it the Pandaria World Bosses or BC Halaa/PvP objectives in the world. Blizzard, imo, need to see what was liked about expansions and keep some of the elements in going forward instead of just ditching them.

Classic won’t solve that because Blizzard already ignored it before for multiple expansions. Only Blizzard can make it better by actually acknowledging what people liked in the past and incorporate it into content going forward.

I am of course not saying this is what everyone liked, but perhaps doing a Poll of certain features can help Blizzard understand what to leave behind, what to keep, and what to change.

My guilds raiding and active. The server has lots of life in BFA zones anyways. There is pvp all over the place.

I understand you’re a fan boy, but face reality about Blizzard right now. It’s nothing, but negative reviews depending what they bring out. Story cinematic videos is a good watch, but not enough to bring players back. BFA proved that to the playerbase.

Aww that’s cute. It’s okay Blizzard will heal when they do something right…if that ever occurs. I know how precious you want to defend them. All those server merges didn’t mean anything and more after that right? Remember for a long time until later expansions servers didn’t need to merge, but hey obvious signs isn’t obvious in this era.

Sure it was.

I like how you ignored my question completely, then insulted me.

because you was reversing it on something silly than face the real problem. The question was entirely dumb.

Resorting to attacks doesn’t get you far. One glance at my post history would show I rarely defend blizzard’s decisions, but expecting you to do your research before making a claim is a common mistake I keep making with you.

Back to the point at hand though, I am just tired of people making baseless accusations. Guess it can’t be helped since that is how even professionals work nowadays. Make the post now. Wait for the evidence later.

Literally your GM when someone was talking about possibly not wanting to give Classic a shot.

Highlighting the double standard, is not dumb.

Wanting to live in a double standard? No comment.

Not attacks when it’s facts. You can defend them, but know reality that Blizzard is not in a good shape.

Is an attack and also not grounded in reality. Most of my posts are actually critical of blizzard’s lackluster decision making.

What does this post have to do with anything? People quit all the time. My guild still raids in bfa regularely and pvps.

Okay. That doesn’t mean the realm is still in pristine condition. For the most part, all I’ve seen from Renosh in posting World PvP is fighting Ruin Gaming. Which isn’t even on ED. In my eyes, the realm is a mess. Anyone who played on our realm from MoP backwards knows this to be true.

And again, your GM said that people have quit all together in retail because there’s really not much to commit to in the game.

You can say this about literally any realm. The game had probably double the players pre MoP. It’s no surprise that many servers seem more dead. I played on proudmoore for like 10 years. Did it feel more populated 10 years ago? 100%. It doesnt mean it’s dead now.

LOL!!! enjoy that classic grind OP … hahahaha!!!
