Itâs cute you think a programmer would look for a folder or file name and not what APIs the add-on is hooking into, the code in the add-on, etc.
In order for an add-on like this to work, people have to use it. For that to happen it needs to be freely available. If itâs freely available - you have an exact copy of what youâre looking for. You donât even need an exact copy.
Devs even screenshot and record video of what youâre doing if they suspect something fishy for verification. Iâm not talking about what the game camera sees, either - what the GPU is spitting out to your monitor - 3rd party cheat overlays, scanning for other programs in memory, etc.
So you just want to break API that copy/pastes things to chatâŚ
Either youâre advocating for breaking half of the add-ons or you think you can just blacklist certain programs individually in a way that will actually stop the use. /giggle

The idea of classic is the forced social interaction. With this add on there is ZERO of that.
Look at the video⌠that isnât all it does. He clicked 2 things, typed one in and walked away. Then it auto filled the grp and had the entire grp auto spam.
Pretty evident that itâs automating gameplay.
Tell me how this addon stops communicating in dungeons? Thatâs where communication happened, that and on the way to the instance. Barely any communication happened prior to the invite beyond âyou want to do insert instance.â
Which is exactly what oRA letâs you do, a staple of Vanilla.
You can send out invites based on a variety of factors like guild rank, or a custom whitelist, with a single button press.
You can have raid assists/leads post chat to designated channels.
