That’s all it ever was. I don’t know what profound conversations people think we used to have in the chat channels. It was mostly LFG/LFM and WTS/WTB/WTT, and guild recruitment spam. And then the chuck norris/anal/murloc spam.
We never really sat around and talked politics in this game unless it was to troll and get people mad.

I agree with not having the addon functionality, but I don’t understand why the old vanilla meetingstone functionality doesn’t work.
Vanilla DID indeed have lfg functionality, you simply had to actually go to the meetingstone to use it. I see absolutely no problem with adding that back in if people actually want to use lfg.
The meetingstone functionality was part of vanilla wow and is therefore part of its social design.
I agree to some extent. I want to juke someone with my hearthstone😁
But honestly it’s stuff that’s important and should have been included in the game up, and even now in retail, there’s a bunch of stuff that should be built in for new players.
Instead Blizzard just let addon makers do the dirty work, so I’m pretty sure they are ok with this unless it automates actions.

The issue, for me, isn’t that there are ANY add-ons in Classic. Add-ons, in general, are fine. But for me this particular add-on, and a couple of similar ones, genuinely bothered me.

In my opinion, it’s too close the lfg system in BFA. People wanted classic for the experience. The community. Not having to form your own groups, even if it takes hours, is part of the breakdown of the community on retail servers. I personally will not use this addon.
A graphical interface that replaces chat spam for LFG would be nice i think

ok and how about players using 2-40 accounts imultaneoulsy? you got plans for that or youre just going to let the games grouping quality be mocked that way? using grey zones, semantic and profit as an excuse is not considered a viable answer

Since part of the issue Blizzard had with the LFG addon was the auto-invite feature does that mean they will also break Healbot since it has some auto-heal functionality.
“HealBot has a SmartCast out of combat option, to auto heal, buff, debuff or res.”
It will break down intragroup communication when the healer just autoheals everyone instead of group mates needing to ask for a quick top off.
Imagine being a healer who uses chat to find out who needs healing.
the new its too hard generation is already asking the healers to dps rather than heal so,…

You’re assuming Blizz can’t avoid this kind of issue. Somehow, I think they can handle it.
I dont think Blizzard would have said that would brake the addon if they where not sure they could do it.
They break unintended add-on functions by changing/altering the API. Breaking inspection add-ons and the ability to automate invites would break a huge number of otherwise standard mods that existed in Vanilla like oRA2.
Blizzard isn’t known for using anything other than a large sledge to make minor adjustments.

Imagine having to decide between running a dungeon or doing quests, because you can’t do both with WoW’s design.
Nope, well stay and use addons that reduce our time with toxic idiots like you who can only say “go back to where you came from.” Keep your Trump crap away from the forums.
If you think this add on is bad, you really need to remove the add ons that give you quest objective locations and such. Much of the community interaction happens when people ask for help with quests.
