My group of people planning to level through Classic already have a Discord set up for it. Is Blizzard going to disable that?

Same reason people use a damage meter to read through combat texts.
I just was never a fan of spamming chats and whispers.
Example: instead of spamming right through tinder and talking to every girl/ignoring others, I only swipe right on girls I’m actually interested in.
Efficiency I suppose is at the root of it, and having played vanilla I know the best experiences I had where in groups not in the process before the group, and getting groups is something this addon helped with so I just see it as a good thing for the game.

Also in before the “retail raiding is easy!” yet they haven’t cleared anything on mythic or even full cleared heroic. Pro guilds clearing mythic in the first week don’t count as they don’t make up the average player base.

More than this, I am certain there will be unofficial discords for entire servers themselves, probably with LFG channels in them. The discord overlay works in Classic as well. Just saying…
Again… I don’t think anything that the anti-LFG crowd want broken is actually going to be broken.
You know what I hated about LFG? The fact that my server community itself (Dunemaul) died because of it. It didn’t die because players got auto-grouped together though, even though I don’t think that was really even necessary. The community died because odds are you were never going to get grouped with anyone from your server. Odds are you would never see these people again after grouping with them this one time.
So what was the point of even talking to these randos you were being paired up with, if it didn’t matter anyway at the end of the day? Honestly, looking at it very closely… LFG didn’t kill server communities, cross-realm killed server communities.
It’s still stupid that you were auto matched and everyone was teleported to the dungeon, but that wasn’t what killed the community. If LFG had been restricted to my server, then I could still blacklist the jerks and friend the awesome people, just like before it existed. People would still gather a reputation as well.
Thankfully on Classic we will never have to worry about teleporting, or cross-realm dungeons. I’m happy with that, whatever else is negligible.

This was a necessity in retail imo. Short of them shutting down multiple servers and merging, LFG was the way to go. For content that matters you still have to communicate.

oh man this salt 
the other day the same people were bashing those who wanted to keep the add on out. Saying we’re fear mongering the sky is falling. Now their “sky is falling” and they’re fear mongering because “what if this add on or that add gets removed, But discord is against tos”. Some of them even softened up their argument’s in hope of it coming back.

Thank you very much guys for this crucial decision for many of us. The overwhelming worries of the future of the Classic now turn again into excitement and joy of the Classic launch.
Now we can just focus on enjoying the game itself and even the queues will be more fun knowing group-finder type add-ons cease To exist. A big “Thumbs up” from humble Europe for all the Classic Developers!

im ok with it being just a simple chat parser but it went well beyond what the creator described it would do to the point of not having to interact with chat at all and this was proven, and seeing people still defend it only makes me want to respond with a hey just go back to retail and enjoy the bed you made and lie in it. the amount of you people taking it so personal is the funniest thing to me.
