I’m salivating, god I hope this is true. I hope they break literally every addon trying to get ClassicLFG out.
LFGAddon in action
In this clip, someone walks off to toilet and when they come back their group is formed

Let’s back this up a bit.
You stated Blizzard’s claims about the addon were not accurate.
Guy replies that professional devs coding Classic likely looked into the addon, which was designed in the same programming language as WoW Classic, and determined that it crossed a line.
To which you then change the subject, suggesting he said Blizzard cannot make mistakes.
Yes, you really do suck at debate.
You just want to see the world burn.
You understand more than the Blizz developers? Seriously?
If they really wanted #nochanges then you would be able to one click select heal rank and targets, be able to spam one button with decursive and remove all the debuffs in the raid, press another single button and have your character automatically run from one location to another, etc.
There were a LOT of things you could do in vanilla that Blizzard broke in TBC and later. Why do people think addon taint is even a thing?
Well done Classic team!
i honestly hope what they break is the addon being able to read player talents to figure out what spec they are playing as. wouldnt taht be a needle in the eye of the angry mob.
THANK YOU so much! this sparks much joy! <3
Bye!
+1 to my position in the queue on Monday.
People are going to learn so fast how quickly that “magical” experience dissipates within a matter of a month.
As someone who has experienced it on my mage originally from the start, its not a game you should only play, I recommend mixing it up with Retail and Classic / Vice versa.
Unless you are unemployed, single, or a streamer. Chances are you will fall behind fast with your current guild.
I will give it classic a try again, but I have low expectations because I remember the game since Day 1. I miss the noob experience the most, having no responsibilities and just meeting new people online for the first time.
If you tried a little harder you’d realize nobody would do this for dungeons even if the checkbox was there since you care about specific roles and classes and don’t want to just invite the first players that ask for an invite.
Come back from the toilet and have 4 rogues. What a great idea?
no, it shouldn’t. this isn’t a single player game and this line of reasoning has been refuted countless times. and so has the “but the API allowed it in 2005!” argument. WoW was new and blizz had no idea what people would come up with in terms of addons. most people didn’t know about them and weren’t using them so their impact was minimal. the entire point of bringing back vanilla is to go back to a simpler form of the game when everything wasn’t relegated to a few interface buttons. this is something you guys still fail to understand. I’m just done wasting my time at this point and I’m glad blizzard gets it
Blood elf, scum. #MakeAzerothGreatAgain
- Troll Hunter come Classic
Don’t sound very sure about that.
Classic
It goes against the social aspects they laid out in 2017. We are not getting Vanilla.
If this is news to you, I’m sorry. But that ship has sailed.
What do you mean about fall behind?
We need them tbh. Too many people RP non-Playable races. High Elf RPers are a big community: and as a Druid RPer, I LOVED having the traditional Druid of the Claw set added to the game in Antorus. Without TRP, i cant post a link to a modern or edited Screenshot to show my character: I cant keep a permanent description for people to read so they know what they’re seeing, what my style is, or any OOC information. RP profiles allowed you to have so much personality, and killing them with the same blind approach to banning everything in sight like Bethesda had when banning people in Fallout 76 is a terrible decision going against the spirit of Vanilla.
Vanilla, for many people, was about the world and the community. Limiting that community out of fear is a great shame tbh. I am still extremely excited to see the RP community of Vanilla WoW: servers colliding, old faces coming back, new people learning the old lore and themes… Maybe even Darnassus Roleplay. Something the game and it’s story sadly took away from us years later. RP profiles simply allow people to express the great passion they had when designing their characters in a way blizzards limited ability to create cosmetics cant.
Not to sound dramatic, it’s just my take on the issue.
Minority rofl. The minority is the ones defending it. Looks around.
My standard response whenever someone posits the argument “Wat bout X? Shoulg Blizz break that to lol?” is to agree that, yes, they should. I probably don’t actually agree. I just don’t care about anyone’s rationalizations and won’t be swayed by silly equations.
I’ve never had trouble finding groups using the chat channels. I don’t know why people think it’s so necessary to have lfg addons.
