Its just a suggestion, and it is in no way pure #no change. So deal with it, but I really want to get along with you as a fellow UO Siege player. So lets have a discussion not butting heads.
I think the point was that somebody said “addons weren’t required”. You could technically cleanse spam without it, but your guild likely required you to have it if you wanted an invite.

theres been more than enough posts here and on reddit to ban all addons.
people will now ask blizz to break any addon they dont like

Just ask Rogain Gold since he didn’t like the LFG addon and Blizzard had to ban it. I’m sure he can tell you what he will allow and what he will not.

That would then be the vanilla way it was done… I don’t see the issue. You won’t get 1-2k people spamming… it’s not like Classic is this new ‘never been tested idea’. Vanilla was out for 2 1/2 years before Burning Crusade. Sure in the beginning, there will be a lot of people spamming for VC, RFC, BFD, Mara, etc… but that will settle out over the first couple months.
Except those were removed throughout the game, LFG was only expanded upon, i really don’t care that they broke LFG I’m just worried about what else they broke.

With that kind of drop off, I guess we can expect Classic to get shut down before Naxx releases.
It’s going to be a huge success, it already is. Servers will still be packed a year from now.

Can you guys kill the questing add-on that’s getting alot of attention now. Part of the experience of classic was reading the quest doing research finding where the mobs or items were. Not just following an arrow or a big “?” On the map to tell you where to go.
They also broke a few retail players hearts

If that’s the only aspect they break the addon will likely just be converted into a LFG channel parser + advertiser while creating the same basic GUI just exclusively out of chat spam rather than chat spam + addon communication channels.

So much ignorance being displayed by the so called #nochanges crowd. Just stop already with that rally cry, it’s already #changed and further changing it are the people crying for #nochanges while waving the torch and fork to #change things that were available in classic.
Just because something wasn’t popular or gain any traction in classic doesn’t mean it wasn’t available.

og decursive is long dead not to return. modern variants of decursive will exist unless blizzard decides to break even those which seems to be where the trend is going.
for those not in know in vanilla you could bind hardware events like mouse/keyboard movement to autocast spells as well as perform the hardware event. those are protected in the modern client so the old jump+sit macro exploits no longer work to fly in the world. so og decursive you could bind all your normal movement keys to automatically decurse targets without any action on your behalf. that was broken and removed
I think the mouse-over-portrait+click Decursive and Healbot both work in Classic, but not positive. Didn’t get a chance to test them.
The original blind-1-click-spam versions were totally banned.
