Surveys and polls only tell you what a select group of people have to say or think. They say nothing of what the rest of people say or think because those people didn’t participate. Assuming anything else is foolish and wrong.

So it only had access to your talents if you had the addon, and the only way to auto invite people was to turn it on which means anyone who whispers you gets invited…

If 10k players are spamming LFG chat and making groups, I would highly doubt that anyone would need to resort to discord to find a group…

It could function entirely without the use of any chat channel. You don’t seem to understand that. 5 people using the addon could group without a single one sending a message to the other, automated or otherwise.

Not surprising thanks to the media storm people have created, but this addon basically already existed and was never a problem in actual Classic.
Sad that a bunch of influencers can misrepresent a situation and get something broken, but I am still interested in seeing what is actually broken about it, because based on what I have been told by the addon author its a very basic addon that would need sweeping changes to API to ruin, which would end up ruining a LOT of addons in the wake.

Gotta wait for an actual addon to pop up and see what it does.
We’re going to need 60 second chat cooldowns on 10K servers. It’ll be like a Twitch stream with Asmongold and Follower-Only chat disabled.

Reading that chat and finding what you’re looking for is going to be near impossible. It’ll be like twitch chat.
I just worry we’re cutting our nose off to spite our face.

Wasn’t he only arguing on mine about it being an exploit? Hard to keep up all of this.
From several remarks he made I do not believe he was the developer.
The developer did post in one of the threads. All you would have to do is compare their talents, right?
It will be fine. Individuals will use General. We will probably not see much action in LFG chat…Just like in Vanilla.
