Classic WoW PvP servers should be a Free For All

I will be destroying all of you who go horde.

Just a heads up.

The reason to be against “RCR” is obvious. The automated punishment system that is attached to it that does not verify any actual wrongdoing and simply requires a dogpiling of reports, issuing squelches/mutes which would make it impossible to actually communicate with other players in a version of the game where LFR and LFG did not exist.

As for the chat experience, in vanilla, it probably sounds like “bur” or “kek,” and “Corpsecampednoob spits on you.”

How is reporting someone to get them squelched at all a valid response to dying in PvP?

Well right click reporting for no reason is an actionable offense by blizzard for one thing.

It sounds more like the op just generally wants to troll.

That doesn’t matter. The system is automated. By the time any action is taken against the accounts for filing false reports, the damage is already done.

If you’re muted, how do you look for groups, guilds, or trades in a version of the game where all of those things depend on being able to chat?

To my knowledge, trolling isn’t against the ToS, and any behavior that is can just be reported.

I wouldn’t mind the right click report feature if the punishments weren’t automated.

These guys have nooo idea how much hate is generated towards you when you are that PvPer going around all day PvPing to the point where 75+% of the server knows you. Ppl will most definitely go out of there way to exact revenge, especially if you killed them enough :).

Stop being delusional ppl. Take out RcR and just get a squelch addon. Problem solved.

Ppl used to pay 100’s of gold to see someone get camped/killed. That’s worth wayyy more than $15. Heck, I could pay for my entire guilds 2ndary subscription and we can all just log on and squelch whoever we want. For some ppl money isn’t a issue.

never was…

That not likely gonna change.

What about mob tag stealing?

But why not just roll on a PVE server? that way everyone wins?

Please. Corpse camping is just a hazing ritual on pvp servers and nothing more.

Nobody gets better by running back to their corpse after getting 1-shot by a stealthed rogue.

Are you saying Horde ganking you at Redridge wasn’t part of the Authentic Vanilla experience? Same with STV?@?!?!?

Right click reporting it to enforce chat not griefing, or open world behavior. Chat still exists on pvp servers.

Oh, it absolutely was part of the authentic experience. I just don’t think it made anyone better

I don’t think an orc saying kek to you after he owns you is reportable though, have we truly fallen this far?

I’ve had many ppl message me saying that destroying them in WPvP over and over again made them want to become better players in PvP (To prevent it from happening to them again in the future). It’s just some ppl can’t take the punches and so they quit or go to a pve server.

And you won’t get actionned for one person reporting you.

What about spamming x (/sit) on their corpse?

Eh, it’s an interesting debate in itself, a lot of people just built up a TON of tolerance for Wpvp this way, i myself have. Same with death, and just natrual reflexes in a dangerous world. For example if i walk into a contested zone with my Internet wife, the first thing she does is get ready to bubble herself. and i’ll be ready to demo shout ontop of her to break stealth or immo pots in our 30 ranges till about early 50’s.

We are 100% more aware and faster acting due to this, not saying all players will or are but it can help some. It also helps in PVE things simply because your brain force’s you into more dangerous citations. Etc, for example stance dancing is best learned in Wpvp and it’s something every warrior should have built into him by the time he’s in MC.

What if i killed over 82 alliance in redridge, and they all report me? RIP xxredditlord.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood what I was getting at. Or I probably just didn’t word it properly. I wasn’t suggesting the “quest in peace” and “fishing” people should have those options on a PVP server; they should definitely be rolling on PVE if those activities are what’s fun to them. I was just countering the poster who said the only reason to log into WoW was for the uncertainty and disruption of life plans.

Report them and let blizzard sort it out.
