I am well aware that 20 servers is like 3x more than 6.
6 SoD servers, even with layers, still have a server cap. Layers dont allow servers to have a larger population than they can hold. Layers is just sharding. Its when a bunch of players are more likely to be congregated in a similar space. Its slowly disabled as classic exists.
That’s an awful suggestion, people don’t need to auto-attack stuff for a few weeks to learn well enough to play retail; they could just make a level 1 character on Exile’s Reach
I remember ‘‘new’’ players would mention how they’d go from exile’s reach, th en go to the faction hub after and notice how the graphics are so outdated.
I’d hate to see how they’d react to dated graphics, super slow play, and barely anything to do after you finish leveling.
Your monitor settings may have a color saturation slider (I haven’t checked if mine do but televisions often have it) and if you slide it to zero then it should be black and white
It is in the game. Everything add-ons do is made possible through the WoW API which is part of the game and accessible to all players. It isn’t even really third-party software if you think about it, in the same way that macros aren’t third-party software, even though the more complicated ones look like code
These are two separate things. Providing an API is not the same as providing a User Interface or User Experience.
(Edit for further explanation)
Extreme example for absurdity: If Blizzard provided NO UI or UX whatsoever, if you just have a blank screen – it would never sell a single copy, because you’d just have a blank screen.
That would be bad game design, regardless of what API’s are provided that could have given all the information in the world.
I definitely understand what you are getting at, and things do get a bit fuzzy in certain areas. I’m not arguing for or against some particular side, just pointing out that – as someone who’s worked in these areas for the past few decades – they are quite different. No judgment beyond that intended.
Forgive me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t Classic (or some form of it) have the Token now?
Oh, and to repeat my response to the old rant, the Token is not P2W. Unless you can show me where the extraordinarily powerful gear can be purchased with a token on the shop.
I keep trying but it’s just not as good as the fast paced gameplay you get from retail.
I loved vanilla and absolutely loved classic in 2019 until AQ, but trying to do it again now is just so mind numbing.
I wish they did a proper classic + with new dungeons all the way through to 60 and a brand new raid to do at the end. That would have been amazing instead of Ashenvale and revamped BFD with a level 25 cap only.
