It just boggles my mind though - - instead of being happy that blizzard has an influx of players playing their product. Warcraft in this case, whether it be retail or classic, there is this weird mindset for many years that seem to always want to see WoW get trashed and go away lol
What is worse is most making these posts are probably grown adults and not teenagers anymore… 
Gamers get tribal for some reason. Probably afraid they are wasting time on the wrong time wasting game.
Is it though? wotlk servers took a massive hit from sod being released as result the expansion is tank starved on RDF on all brackets or endgame dungeons (gamma)
Not to mention (but I will anyway) that most servers are dead on the day and become somewhat alive after 6 pm ST time…

Not at all. Classic is not more popular first of all. The enitre post is pretty much not close to reality. Glad you like SOD. No need to put down retail. Go play your beloved game and get lost.

Well, it’s more popular with a very specific subset of player. But overall? Not even close.
Lol I run dbm on retail and that’s it.
I clear raids just fine and play the content I want to.
I don’t play classic anything for a few reasons.
The content is decades old and even SoD is retail light.
It’s rehashed content from almost 2 decades ago. Been there, don’t that.
The skill ceiling in classic anything is abysmally low
