There was, back when Nostalrius got shut down. Vanilla fans finally got fed up and decided to sign a petition. Normally Blizzard doesn’t respond to petitions but this one got their attention.

we need two classic timelines. one that follows the original and a separate one that is alternative, a mix of mostly classic with a bit of retail polish. new dungeons and raids added, some horizontal development. maybe a bigger outlands, maybe farahlon hasn’t been torn apart, and other areas that were destroyed, are still intact. ogres for horde, high elves for alliance. 4th specs. etc

You do realize something can be true, and yet not coincide with why someone feels a certain way right? I could be working 80 hours this week and yet be depressed because my wife left me, yet in your mind the fact I worked 80 hours would be all the proof you needed to say that was SURELY the cause?

Your assumptions are based in really, really terrible logic. Again, when he left for months he knew his subs would drop off a cliff. He made a video specifically about this. Maybe you could go inform yourself instead of telling others to when you objectively have no idea what you are talking about. The video is on his YouTube account. Very simple to find :slight_smile:

I think if there was limited content designed to mimic the style of classic wow released a couple years after naxx is done, like a couple dungeons, updated loot tables, viable hybrid specs/tanks and a raid or two it would not be the end of the world.

Okay. That’s nice. but most of them are. All you have to do is watch youtube videos and look at GD forums. they constantly get trolled by classic fans talking smack about retail.

I don’t want them changed necessarily I just think it would be cool if loot tables gave them some more interesting gear options.

For instance, paladin healers getting to wear plate armor instead of cloth going into pre-raid content.

oh, well those were likely former retailers talking smack about retail. i like retail as a fun place to go and do random things, like pet battles and achievements and mount collecting. but its not a rpg, and if i had my druthers, i’d play an rpg before an action game, though i’d likely play both, i’d play one, more than the other.

That is fine for you, but gameplay dictates choices elsewhere like dungeons, raids and pvp.

Not saying that you are lying or anything. I’ll take you at your word. I am just saying that the nicest thing that I have seen a streamer talk about BfA was that it wasn’t as bad as WoD.

I admit that I don’t watch a ton of them on a regular basis. But when you brought up streamers, I thought that I would share what I have seen since it is exactly opposite of what you said.

Again. Blizzard cannot be trusted to make Classic style content.

They also cannot be trusted to honor their original mandate of Classic being a museum server if they decide to do expansions.

I’m all for them proving me wrong on both points but I would rather not take chances.
