Classic WoW is set to totally overshadow modern WoW

they aren’t actually servers though. they are file folders on a big cloud server. like they arent server blade type tech now. thats why you can be on one server and group with someone on another server, cause its just a bunch of folders

Um… have you seen the Looking for Group documentary?

They’re still using blades.

can you link it? id like to see that

This was an exact idea i sent to blizzard 2 years ago when rumblings of a vanilla wow release were coming out. It’s such a perfect way to do it.

Actually servers are cheap. They just need enough hardware to support the number of live players on at any particular time. Adding a server is little more than a couple table entries.

Classic will be frozen forever. If they add TBC, you will be able to go through the portal, one way, and your character will copy to the TBC realm server. But your classic character will remain as is for whenever you choose to play it again.

Sure, I’ll grab it for you. Bear with me while I look.

EDIT:

They go over it during the Gates of AQ segment. That entire segment is really interesting so I recommend you just start there. It starts at 24:20

You come across as very negatively optimistic. It’s been a very interesting conversation with you lol.

If that’s a fancy way of saying “realist,” then sure I guess. lol

I just hope I haven’t come across too harshly.

Dude, I so want this to be the case but I doubt it will be.

Come on Blizzard, prove me wrong. Please.

They could make RP servers frozen forever and make pvp and pve servers able to be reset. Just a thought

I have considered that. But it wouldn’t be fair. At all.

And Blizzard doesn’t do that sort of unbalancedness.

I’m not entirely selfish. If I was I’d be demanding RP servers also be the only ones to get transmog. Instead I’m advocating for #NoChanges.

Haha makes sense

??? You’re right I should have used a different choice of words… There are people that are interested, but theres also people that aren’t interested in it…

My point was more-or-less just to let everyone enjoy the game for now, and in 4-5 years (maybe sooner) we can discuss the poll options and at that point the #nochanges crowd may have relaxed a bit more on that front.

I for one am Pro poll-option … But I also don’t mind if we don’t get it for a few years since theres really no reason to implement it in at launch or soon after. There is loads of content that will be available to us without having the poll-option at first.

I really, REALLY just want Classic to be left alone. Launch it, go through the phases, enter maintenance mode.

Don’t do anything else because no matter what you do, it’s just going to alienate the players.

Your sand box is in a public place, owned by somebody other than you.your dream was never going to happen, unless you have your own personal private sand box.
get my meaning?

I do.

And you’re wrong.

If this is the hill you want to die on go for it.

Let’s put it this way…

If you’re NOT wrong, then I’m never giving WoW a second thought in any incarnation ever again.

We’ll just have to see.

Bruh you do realize that these streamers that are chain pulling packs are either pro’s who won Blizzcons or ppl who no life the game.

They are also farming their BiS sets for the tourney and already have decent gear.

The average group won’t be chain pulling packs with 0 downtime.

When was locking XP added? cata?
