Classic Was/Is Not Authentic

They have gotten reports of the xp gains in instances already a while back and corrected those once to reflect those in the reference client. Layering and any other exploit is a player issue. Fixing a game such as WoW Classic from how it was developed (old data into newer programmed infrastructure) is a lot different than making a new game that can work out the gate with the infrastructure. They can’t directly pin point exactly where those bugs are at as they have stated before.

It takes time to find them if they are even fixable at all. This isn’t a game they programmed from scratch. They combined both new and old to work within there ecosystem.

Layering is currently still needed for high populated servers. They are absolutely needed because guess what happens to the servers that did get layering removed. Oh look at just a few threads that were made here couple days ago.

Servers that don’t have layering are subjected to have longer queue times or some servers will have a queue when initially it didn’t have one. Again this begs the question on why are you not mentioning the servers that have layering removed when they said they would remove layering?

Sure they followed thru on dropping layers but why did they use it in the first place?

Instead of 10 and then 30 servers with layers why not roll out 100 servers then?

If it was not a resource issue to bring them back together why not do that.

People still have to xfer their guilds. Merging due to low pop or xfering due to high pop is the same thing.

An actual authetic experience would be to have more servers, not less.

Totally agree; Ill add stuff that wasn’t in Vanilla:

LED monitors.
Trump as President.
Pluto downgraded as a planet.
Crimea in Russian control.

Man how can anyone enjoy Classic?

Was an “authentic vanilla experience” even possible? Certainly it is IMpossible to re-create YOUR vanilla experience, since YOU have changed a lot in 10 years.

You totally misunderstand the meaning of #nochanges. I’ve only seen #nochanges as something players say in response to other players who ask for an improvement to Classic. So #nochanges means “Blizzard will not put QoL improvements into Classic”.

#nochanges has never meant “Classic is identical to Vanilla”. Nobody ever said that – not Blizzard, not players, nobody.

I just explained why, if they didn’t have layering at the beginning of launch, Instead of there being a 10k queue on Herod or Faerlina it would be a 20k 30k queue. This was to allow players to play on the same sever. Here is the simplest reasons why.

  1. Blizzard is a business after all and they are not going to go the route of getting multiple servers. That costs money to buy and run more equipment that may very well be for a short amount of time because they at the time thought it would only be a temporary hype train. Now we know it was more people than they expected.

  2. Those servers that got layering removed would of been servers and players would of been extremely upset that they would have to transfer and renaming their characters to something else. Layering allowed them to still play on those servers and keep the names they wanted as well as not be cautious of a transfer that is out of their control. Not to mention the load they would have on the network from that many people transferring. This was definitely a plus to use layering on those servers and still being cost efficient.

Blizzard could have at least made a representation of the overall vanilla experience in classic. And it has 0 to do with personal experience but the state of the game itself. This also means that the majority of players now, including the pserver players have 0 clue what vanilla in its overall “feel” was like.

They probably wouldn’t have time for it. I know i wouldn’t.

It is what it is and no one cares because it is not going to change.

You are trying real hard with many of those points, desperate to inflate the list. Some are even irrelevant.

The only one that has impacted the game is obviously layering, and perhaps some new minor bugs. Everything else on the list hasn’t affected the gameplay/experience in any significant way at all.

It’s as authentic as it can be given that it’s 2019, unless of course you’re willing to reproduce conditions on your end from about 15 years ago as well, conditions that would affect your gameplay more than anything on your list by the way, but we won’t see that happening. Stop focussing on trivialities and somehow convincing yourself that vanilla and classic are so different.

Some better points would be that there are mobs through out the game that are not elite yet should be.

The mobs outside of Onyxia’s lair were all elites and so were the mobs in those camps for lower levels to quest at in the same general area, they are not elite yet they should be. The mobs around the lake that has the Sunken Temple are not elites either and they also should be elite. UBRS has level 62 for the bosses there yet they should be skull level level 63s.

On and on and on these non-classic issues go, there are tons of changes like that, stuff that their beta test should have picked up and fixed before release. The fact that they are still not fixed months after release shows that blizzard either doesn’t care or that they want the game to be easier than it should be.

Classes are also still buggy, some types of mines are giving 2 taps and not 3 to 4 as they should etc.

Super neat story.

Out of the 20+ things u posted, most of them are just reworded from one another.

There was no tampering with boat PvP. This was cleared up a month ago.

If you watch back to the future time travel becomes real op. Enjoy!

ok 29 warrior

I love when players discover the forums for the very first time and post things as if they were the first person in the world to come up with outlandish but erroneous statement.

Well, this is a fairly impressive list of almost completely irrelevant stuff.

I’ve been playing since launch. It’s basically exactly the same. Try again.
