it’s everywhere, it’s logged subs dropped a lot last 2 weeks 9993 players logged on herod, the all time average is 16610. This is the most active server.
Again, you don’t actually have this info.
Also, we had a queue last night. I’m not sure exactly what the population cap is, but it’s in the 6000-10000 range.
Even if we only had 6000 concurrent, there’s no way that translates to 10k over the past 2 weeks.
It doesn’t take a genius to look at the server list and see all the once full and high servers being mid and low pop to see what’s happening.
And it doesn’t take a genius to smell your numbers and figure out which orifice they came from.
In classic if you haven’t already done so…

google it my man your lifestyle isn’t gonna lat unless blizz gets active.
There’s nothing to google.
I’ve been watching numbers since classic released.
There is no actual source of the total number of players outside of blizzard. Census addons, raid logs, etc can only sample a fraction of the overall number of characters (which may or may not be a representation of ACTIVITY rather than population). They never had the ability to show you total population. At best you can measure the activity of two different groups to get a ratio (class demographics, faction balance, etc).
So once again, your numbers smell like poop, which lets us know where they came from.
Will not buy
Retail just isn’t for me. Quit mid-MoP after I got my green fire, never looked back.
I’ll probably check it out at some point, but probably not until pathfinder is released and I can start working on that. It’ll be the first expansion since I started playing at the start of Cata that I haven’t pre-ordered and played on launch day, but I’m okay with that.
I don’t care what version of Classic I’m playing. There is no idiotic level scaling in it. My hunter still uses mana. Every level or achievement seems worthwhile. So, down talk Classic all you want, or throw out made up numbers to show it’s dying. Heck even if the numbers were real I wouldn’t care because no matter how you slice it CLASSIC IS BETTER THAN RETAIL!
So many systems in retail I despise, unless they go back to pre WoD design I’m sticking to Classic.
Classic doesn’t have a crappy GCD like they forced on retail. That change made the now worse classes feel even worse to play.
I know levels are just a number, but having my characters lose 60+ levels (down from 110) doesn’t feel right.
The memories I have of some of these places were at 60, 70, 80, 85 etc, and that’s all going to change. Kind of like when I walked into Scholomance after the nerf to find a bunch of level 40 mobs in a level 60 instance I once knew. It came as a shock. Then come Shadowlands, that instance will probably be level 20-25.
WoW’s leveling system isn’t that grindy compared to some asian MMORPGs. So getting to max level should be an experience, not a race. Which it seems like they’re turning it into a race with Shadowlands basically making leveling way faster, while you skip over whole expansions.
Finish the starting area, do one expansion, then boom, you’re in Shadowlands. That’s too fast IMO. In the same way that when you level now, you don’t finish all the zones in the expansion before hitting the cap and moving onto the next expansion’s leveling zones. So you kind of skip over the story a bit. To some the stories are more interesting than gaining your next talent point or ability.
Does shadowlands bring back pvp servers and do away with warmode? Does shadowlands do away with scaling both in the world and in arena? If not theres no point in buying it i wont have a rewarding feel for the time i invest. While im not exactly someone who was ever for classic either it does at least reward you for your time. Mop is what i crave and seeing as thats probably never again to be seen i wont buy shadowlands or renew sub to play classic.
Nope, and its pretty sad there charging you $50 to make death knight allied races, a race and a class you already paid for in the past… no other mmo does that, in gw2 and ff14 and eso you can make any race and class together.
I’m tired of all these scams, that’s why I don’t play retail anymore. Classic WoW is a simple game, you pay for it and you get a game, no cash shop or pre-order bs, I love that.
There is only on thing that will force my hand to purchase Shadowlands.
Friends.
If my friends want to play Shadowlands. And a good chunk of them dive in. I’ll fight by their sides. If none of them are interested in playing. I’ll stick to classic tyvm.
Ive bought every expansion since vanilla, all but 2 of them were collectors editions. This will be the first expansion I dont buy.
They have gutted the development team and cut back too much. No class sets anymore to save on art/modeling, no new class when this expansion was due to have one…giving back skills we already had is not expansion content.
Redoing the leveling experience? The game is 15 years old and everyone has at least 3 free max level boosts they have received in the last few years. How many more alts can you possibly want to level at this point?
They have said class balance wont be very in depth either…not this time around.
So I dont see anything worth spending money on, for the first time in 15 years.
Eventually. I just started Legion, so I’m way behind. Mainly playing Classic right now.
There is zero way to tell how many people logged on. API for population tacking has been purposefully broken for over 2 months.
