I think that’s where the HC crowd has the advantage. It’s certainly a lot less to fuss over in comparison, but for the most part, the general support of HC is significant and has a very general view of what it should be.
Some things are nitpicked, like trading or auction house when it comes to the official servers, but ultimately, their goal of an actual HC server is announced and is in the works ™
Which is why I feel that support of the restored content cut prior to release in 2004 is a reasonable starting point without all the noise of class tuning and adding features already present in expansions.

I support classic + turtle wow has done an amazing fantastic jobs with value added tweaks.

Wrath was the introduction of linear dungeons, dailies and the worst BG of them all.

TBC doesn’t really have any non linear dungeons does it? I guess Karazhan has some different paths you can take. They really threw the awesome BRD / Black Rock Spire style dungeons out quickly
I didn’t get to play classic TBC, but played the original and I don’t recall any non-linear dungeons in the game. Yes I suppose the ground floor of Karazhan could be run in a few different ways if that counts. I vaguely remember either a Blizzcon comment or blue post where they basically said for TBC they wanted dungeon run times to be much shorter, but that the dungeons should also be more difficult. Something like that.
Yea that’s what I remember, it’s a shame they completely threw out the different styles. Classic had both linear and dungeon crawl adventure stuff. Was a fun balanced.

God I would kill for Classic+ but it feels like if they were going to make any sort of new content they’re just going to focus on retail… Classic+ would be so awesome though. Rn I’m playing HC and loving it, there is no comparison to the Era/Vanilla version of WoW IMO. I loved TBC/WOTLK but didn’t enjoy the classic versions of them. Something about the original Vanilla WoW just never gets old.

Retail has more avenues for monetization so yea it’ll probably always get priority. Plus it’s easier to make changes without alienating groups.
Yeah exactly, I don’t think Blizz has the proper dev team to even do Classic+ they’d rather just re release already made content. When does it end though? I really hope they don’t go past WOTLK for classic and spend more time just making fresh era servers or focusing on stuff like that.
